Hello, over the past week I relisted 19 items. On each and every item I unchecked the paypal box option box because I have decided that at this point in time I do not want to use paypal any longer. Ebay has been slow so I have lowered prices and offered free shipping to help improve sales. Therefore I can no longer afford to pay paypals fees as well. But the next morning when I check my new listings every single item has paypal listed as a payment option.
I need to know why this is happening and how I can avoid it in the future. Please believe me when I say I know what I am doing and I know how to delete paypal.
I have to revise every new listing and delete paypal as an option. Sometimes there is a quick bid and I cannot revise. This is creating a situation for me that I am not happy with. I await to hear from you. Thank you, Steve

Hello Steve,

Please let us know a specific listing number where this happened, so that we can take a look. If possible, please let us know a listing number that has not yet been revised. If you don't have a listing available that has not yet been corrected, please let us know in exactly what part of the listing PayPal is showing as a payment method. Also let us know in what way it is showing (for example, are you seeing a PayPal logo, or is there text that says you offer PayPal as a payment method?).

Regards,
Nathan

Hi, sorry but I already revised it before I saw your message. Your message never came through on my email program where it normally does.
The auction that went on last night was 290189660942. I relisted it the normal way. When I get to the paypal box it was checked from the last time I had it listed. So I unchecked the box for paypal. But this morning when I looked at the auction it showed paypal as a viable payment option.
Thius has happened on all 19 auctions I have on now. On everyone I had to revise because it showed paypal.
I don'r understand how this is happening. If I uncheck the paypal box while relisting why is it still going onto the auction. Please advise as this is quite a nuisance having to revise every auction that I relist. Thanks, Steve

Hi Nathan, the paypal logo is showing up in the upper right portion of the auction. Right below where it now says this auction is not protected by ebays protection service or something to that effect. It is not showing in my default text any longer as it once did.
It also shows at the bottom of the auction where the payment options are. It should read checks and money orders only. But it shows paypal as well. Need to get this fixed. If someone places a bid or uses "Buy it Now" before I have a chance to see it in the morning I am stuck. I am 6 hours later than the east coast of the USA and 9 hours to the west coast. So chances are I won't catch it in time. I certainly do not want to have a hassle with a buyer because of this, but I refuse to use paypal anymore. Steve

Hello Steve,

Please log in to your eBay account and go to "My Account" --> "Preferences" --> "Selling Preferences" --> "Payment from buyers" --> "edit" --> "edit" (a second time) --> "PayPal Preferences" --> be sure that both "Offer PayPal as a payment method in all my listings" and "Tell Buyers that I prefer PayPal payments" are unchecked. If they are already unchecked, please let us know. If they are not already unchecked, please uncheck them and save your preferences. Then let us know if you continue to have this problem with future listings.

Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan, looks like you found it. I followed your instructions and both boxes were checked. I unchecked them and saved. Will see what happens next time I relist. Funny thing is I don't remember ever having seen that page before. I wonder how they got checked to begin with. Thanks for your help. Steve
