I doubt thats the way it was designed, can you be more specific when you say you go back and forward making the auctions that you lose this information?
Your not using the back button on your browser to go preview and then come back and make changes right?

I don't know if this is what wa2000 is referring to, but it would be nice if the Item Specifics could be filled in for each Inventory Profile Template and revised as needed. Is there a way to make our choices "stick"?

EACH TIME YOU USE THEM THEY SEEM TO CHANGE. THE "STICK" TERM IS THE PROBLEM. i HAD TO GO BACK TO MY COMPUTER FOR A PICTURE AND IT WAS ALL GONE WHEN I CAME BACK. I HAVE NOT RELISTED YET FROM THESE IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE IF THEY REMAIN IN PLACE!
The back button on your browser will have unexpected effects on the page from computer to computer, and you simply cannot program a page specifically to allow the 'back' button to work like a 'save' function.
When your on the preview page, use the built-in 'return' button to get back to the previous page. This DOES retain your data on the previous page, unlike using the 'back' button on your browser.
I tested this in both FireFox and IE, created an item with CIS, then went to the eBay preview. After viewing the preview, I clicked the 'Change Data' buton.
Upon returning to the page where the item was created all of the CIS data remained in tact.
I also used the Basic Preview, and used the 'return' button after viewing the preview, which also saved the CIS data.
What steps are you taking exactly to where it seems to lose the CIS data?

I go to the create listing page , write the auction etc , then i shchedule , either ui use the back button on the explorer or use the green vendio back button specifics desapear for the next auction
Do you mean the custom item specifics are disappearing for a *new* auction? Do you mean that you are selecting the custom item specifics for one auction, scheduling the auction, and then when you create a new auction you have to select the custom item specifics again? Or do you select the custom item specifics for one specific auction, and then at some point you have to reenter them for that same auction, before launching?
It is not possible to have the custom item specifics be automatically entered for a new auction, but if that is what you are trying to do, I would be happy to pass along the suggestion.

I second the "YES"! Let us set up profiles of inventory items with pre-filled in item specifics - we can modify as needed.
