Hi, have just tried to relist an older auction. I am getting the following message

Note: Your current Auto-Delete Images setting is 90 days. Use Image Hosting Preferences to change this setting.

I have my images set on "auto renew"I don't know of any other way to change that setting. Why am I getting this message? Please advise as I cannot list this auction as is. Do I have to take new pictures? Thank you, Steve

Hi again, just reread all of the instructions re the above. Went into image hosting-preferences-changed the auto renew setting to off and then on again-clicked save and I am still getting the same message. Help!!!

Hello Steve,

It's actually just the item number we need to test this for you, for the listing thats giving you this error message.

Regards,
Christopher

Hi Christopher, there is no item number because I could not relist the item. I kept getting the error message in red at the top of the page when I clicked on relist. So I am at square one. Can't relist because it is telling me that my images are over 90 days which shouldn't mean anything because I have them as I do all of my images on auto renew. I want to list this for Sunday night so we have a few days to try and resolve this problem. Otherwise I will have to wait until March when I return to France to take new pictur. Thanks, Steve

Hi Christopher, just reread your post. Sorry about my misreading it. I thought you were asking for the auction number. But you asked for the item number. Sorry but I am not sure what you mean by the item number. Please explain further. Thanks again, Steve

Hello Steve,

If your re-listing an item, that means your listing an older item correct? If so, what is the item number of the old listing that your trying to re-list?

Christopher

Hi Christopher, luckily I still had it. It was ebay #290104780782 and was about March or April of 2007. Good luck hopefully. Thanks, Steve

Hello,

I don't see this item 290104780782 in your account. Where are you re-listing this item from that your running into the error message you mentioned?

Christopher

Hi Christopher, that number I pulled up from old emails. I had a problem with a buyer on this auction that was finally resolved after many months in my favor through a Paypal dispute and still had it in my email file. That is why I have waited so long to relist.
That was the number of the original auction. I had more than one pair of these so I am trying to list the second pair. Had it in closed auctions for the longest time and finally moved it up to pending. It is listed in pending as follows:

Pr Superb Bronze & Crystal Wall Lamps Sconces FREE SHIP

Hope this helps. Steve

P.S. Christopher if this is a major problem to resolve then don't put to much work into it. If I waited this long I can wait one more month and just take new pictures next month when I return to France. Thanks, Steve

Hello Steve,

I checked your pending listing "Pr Superb Bronze & Crystal Wall Lamps Sconces FREE SHIP", but I was unable to see the error (I did get an error that your "Payment Instructions & Return Policy" section is over the 500 character limit).

In any case, I was able to see the images in the listing, and they do appear to be set to auto-renew currently. As long as the listing previews correctly for you, and the images are included at that time, it should be safe to relist. If this error is stopping you from relisting for some reason, please let us know in more detail exactly what is happening (you may need to clear the character limit error before we can see the image error).

Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan, thank you, thank you, thank you and merci beaucoup! I cleaned up the message - took out some words and the auction relisted. So, if that was the problem I wonder why I was getting the message referring to the 90 days of image hosting. very strange. Steve
