Isn't the shipping calculator smart enough to compute the cost for three items, two - one ounce items (each different) and one 5 ounce item. Can you give me a logical reason why the Priority Mail cost would be 11.55 for the three of them?

I was testing calculated shipping. The three items are in my shopping cart. Is it possible that whole operation might not run very well for stores?

Hello Bill,

Please let us know the titles of the items, so that we can take a look.

Hello Bill,

Thank you (we can't see what is in your shopping cart unless you have completed checkout). The problem here is that the third item is not setup with calculated shipping, but with fixed shipping. So the item information is set as follows for the first two items:

Weight: 1 oz.
Ship-from zip code: 92821
Shipping markup: $0.50

Your Global Preferences are set to calculate combined shipping to ship in one package, and to calculate the markup as the sum of all markups.

So I entered this information into USPS:

Weight: 2 oz.
Ship-from zip code: 92821
Ship-to zip code: I used 92822

The result was: $4.60 for USPS Priority.

Then I added the $1.00 shipping markup ($0.50 for each of these two items): $5.60

The third item is set with a flat rate shipping charge of $5.95 for Priority. Added to the $5.60 this equals the $11.55 that is showing in Vendio.

The solution in this case would be to edit your inventory item "U.S. Christmas Seal Sheet Collection, 1932-1981" to use calculated shipping as well.

Regards,
Nathan

I'm trying real hard to do so. I see that USPS will use Zone pricing for Priority Mail and Express Mail after May 12th.

It is difficult to set the parameters for multiple items.

I now see the problem. Back to testing. I'm also having difficulty with combined International shipping.

It's about time that you bring the shipping functions current with the ebay system. It is just inconceivable to me that an up-date Vendio version isn't ready to go. It has been over a year - and all we get is promises.

I'm not sure why others aren't complaining, however, I am. There is no way that I can utilize the calculated or fixed shipping functions that you would have us use for International shipping. I am just plain tired of running my business with one foot in a bucket, because Vendio is unable to bring the shipping functions current.

An example - including packaging, my cost, plus $1.00 handling to ship a 4 ounce envelope to Canada is $2.75. That same package would cost $4.60 to the U.K.

Just how am I to list this?

I note that an ebay Announcement on March 24th states in part: "... starting this week, we’ll begin requiring that all new sellers who are listing for the first time specify their shipping costs using the Shipping Details section.

A few months later, specified shipping costs will become a requirement for most listings on eBay, including listings from 3rd party listing tools." It appears that you will finally be required to bring the Vendio shipping functions current with ebay.

Further, as Vendio is aware, there are USPS price changes, effective May 12th. By my calculations, that is just a little over 3 weeks from now.

Are we to change USPS prices for May 12th, and then change the prices again, when you bring the Vendio shipping functions current?

How about giving us a break here.

I second this comment from Bill.

And I will add that his complaint can be used for a group of things with Vendio.

Next month will be the one year anniversary of the launch of the Vendio Complete and where is it?
still not launched for us!

Sales manager Pro is is like working with a pac-man game.

There is unemployment out there Vendio hire some people to get it done.

Stop with the lip service and lets get this boat launched!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,

Please note that "Vendio Complete" is not a new version of our services, but rather a collection of existing services that are recommended to sellers who are looking for a complete solution.

There is extensive work being done on getting this released, but we want to make sure it is ready before making the changes (so as to avoid causing problems). We do not have an eta available currently. Thank you for your patience.

Regards,
Nathan

Please, just give me a link for Canada Shipping.

I can live with the store as it is and any other missing ebay functions. In fact, I achieved Power Seller status using the broken down shipping functions. However, not having the shipping displayed is now placing me lower in Best Match searches.

In the past, I was able to deal with the problem of not being able to display correct shipping to the different USPS International Shipping Zones (costs to mail to Canada are less than other International destinations). I just did not use the ebay functions.

I exclusively use the Vendio redirect and do not display on the ebay system. However, Best Match requires me to rethink and redo my shipping. No, I am not lowering my prices, but I must adjust for the May 12th increase. And, I must display the new shipping costs on ebay shipping, or I going to be placed lower in search by Best Match.

Vendio's current suggestion is to list the higher priced shipping first. OK, as I mentioned previously, flat rate shipping cost to Canada is $2.75, while that for other Global destinations is $4.60. If I follow your advice, and list the Global cost first, buyers in Canada may just assume that I am gouging on shipping (that's if the item even appears because of Best Match).

As you know, the dollar is weak. I want that International business. I fully intend to increase my International sales. You guys are certainly not helping me by delaying the updated shipping functions.

Just how can I justify listing items now, in both my Vendio and ebay stores, when I will have to go back and update for the new shipping functions when they are changed?
