please check closed item 170212937991. I cannot enter the address as I keep getting an error message. The address is saved in notes. It is correct and has USPS validation but I keep gettin a UPS error message.

Hello,

What was the error message saying? I took the address in your notes and entered it into this items post sale records without error, but I left the name field as 'name' so you can edit it again to add it (it wasn't in the notes.)

I had also selected UPS ground, is that the carrier you were trying to pick?

I kept getting an error message saying UPS could not validate the address and it would not allow me to enter it.

Here is the same problem again with item 170217041409. I cannot enter the address, and it is correct. Here is the error message I get (the item is not even shipping UPS)

The City, State, ZIP Code combination is invalid
NOTICE: UPS assumes no liability for the information provided by the address validation functionality. The address validation functionality does not support the identification or verification of occupants at an address.

Have you since been able to add it without an error message?
Did you have to do anything differently?

It added after paypal payment was completed. Now I am having the same problem with combined order 983411883. I am getting the same UPS error message and cannot enter the address..

Hello,

Skip the 4 extra digits at the end of the zip code field, that is what is throwing off the system when you manually enter the address via step 2 in the checklist.

Alternately you can use the 'go to buyer checkout' link to enter the address rather than manually editing step 2, which then gives you a chance to choose from the close matches of the address if the system is unhappy with what you have entered.

Also the message isn't from UPS, that little note in red is a generic message and the part about UPS shows below that message as a default and isn't an indication of your selected carrier.
