With all the changes coming to the listing pages it looks like Vendio SMME users are going to need a bulk on-line reviser similar to File Exchange or Turbolister.

It would be GREAT (and I would be willing to pay) to have an application that WORKS (Turbolister DOES NOT Work!)to import all of our active listings - offer a "find replace" capability for descriptions to universally edit out extra links or disallowed things that ebay comes up with and revise/add the missing ebay listing form items like return policy, handling time, shipping charges etc. Is something like that being considered?

I wonder if we could use "FILE EXCHANGE" for this purpose? Can you prepare a .crv report of all of our active listings?

Hello,

Unfortunately we do not have any new tools in the works with these specific goals in mind.
Ideally most of your links/etc would be stored in your default text area's, so you only have to change them once.

Links in the item descriptions themselves would need to be edited out to comply (if your using some now that won't be allowed in July) during the relist process.

Chris

At this point I am interested in revising all of my listings to show: RETURN POLICY (Vendio failed to support this field in ebay listing form); HANDLING TIME (Vendio fails to support this field in ebay listing form) and Canada Shipping (Vendio failed to support this in the eBay listing form). See a pattern here? Vendio users have been HARMED by continued use of the service which, for whatever reason, did not feel it was important to stay abreast of eBay changes. Ebay has announced that those fields must be completed for all listings and I have 8000 store items that don't have them!!

I tried turbo-lister to revise but that didn't work very well. I am now checking out exporting Turbo-lister fields to .CRV so I can use File Exchange. In fact, I was able to create the .CRV report of my listings - just have to figure out the rest.

Hello,

That is correct, some of these fields have changed locations. Previously there was a payment instructions and return policy field all in one, and since then eBay has made a specific field for just the return policy.
Vendio does support the new eBay return policy, and will be supporting the handling time fields as well in the near future.
Supporting them on day one or later on will still require editing to comply, but there is a need for bulk editing tools on the SMME platform and we'll be happy to pass along your request for a global update of the fields that have been available for a while now, as well as those yet to be added. (we have a request in for this already, but will add your username to the list of those asking for such an option.)

(for others reading this you do always have the option to make these defaults for listing new items, the above refers only to editing older items setup prior to features being released either here or at eBay.)

Chris

I am in the midst of revising, and decided to wait until your announcement. Will I have to wait for Vendio or revise through ebay, when stating shipping time?

It is a problem for those of us who have thousands of items in our ebay stores that were created when vendio did NOT support the eBay refund policy, shipping time and Canada. So it is a VERY time consuming processing to edit them in order to be in compliance.

What would be cool is if we could end all odd-thousand items and you could run a global replace on all the fields, better if you have the handling time field.

We still have the links policy on the horizon. For many of us, it may be easier to close all our listing and then bulk revise. UNFORTUNATELY there is no bulk revise in the SMMEI.

When you already have 11,000 items in inventory switching is a nightmare.

Yikes! I need to keep my item numbers (filing system is by ebay number) but need those items revised while "Active".

If we are only allowed 5 links/listing, I want my 5 to be MY links but Vendio has 5 links on my listings right now!

The "links" will be a nightmare to revise.

I have been questioning Vendio's inability to provide us with bulk reviser for months. If I'm able to change 50 items at the same time (theoretically because Vendio always crashes at 50 items) why your "engineers" cannot do it globally per account.

Not only Vendio is always late with new eBay features but also is forcing us to change each new feature by hand. Previous changes were not mandatory so I kept postponing updates because of lack of time. New, mandatory changes will force me to change large number of inventory items by hand.

This is just crazy especially when eBay keeps changing and adding new features.

Hello,

Note that we are actively looking into ways for users to bulk apply these new requirements (return policy and handling time) and will post back as soon as more information becomes available.

Thank you. It is badly needed. I wait be giddy anticipation!
