Well, it's just one of those days, I guess:

I'm trying to set up a listing in the coins catetory, and I get a box that says something to the effect of "Unable to retrieve item specifics! Please try again later!"

And then, I go to check the html editor box, and while the box checks, nothing happens (in other words, I'm not getting the html editor ... I have to write html.

I'm not trying to do anything "odd", I'm not doing anything different than I ever do ... but I'm getting these quirks at the moment.

Am I alone?

I use Foxfire most recent version, I'm on a PC, yada yada yada.

Thanks,
Kathy

OK, hang on, let me correct the error messages I'm getting:

When I first move from selecting a category into the listing page, I get this box:

"Error! Cannot get Custom Item Specifics informatio. (sic) Please try again later"

AND I can't use html editor.

AND none of my images are available (no folders)

AND when I try just to save the auction in the hopes this is a single quirk, I get this box:

"No cis object found, no cis details written!" and a box to click "OK".

So anyway, that's the scoop ... I'm going to try starting over from scratch and seeing if this is ongoing or just this one hiccup.

Yep, it's happening no matter what category I choose.

I'm dead in the water.

Help!

Hello,

I took a look at your account, but I was unable to duplicate the problem. Do you get the same problem if you use a different browser? Please try using a different browser, such as Internet Explorer, and let us know whether or not it gives you the same problem.

Regards,
Nathan

I went to a different computer using a different browser, and I'm fine.

Huh.

So I guess I've got a Firefox problem to solve.

Thanks,
Kathy

Hello Kathy,

If you haven't already, please try clearing the cache in Firefox and restarting the browser. It also can't hurt to try restarting the computer. If that doesn't help, please let us know.

Regards,
Nathan

Hello Kathy,

Note that FireFox 3 is out and available to use right now.
The 2.0.16 you have now isn't the most recent version available anymore.

It's possible that whatever the issue is, upgrading to 3 could correct it, if the issue is isolated in the FireFox browser currently.

Regards,
Chris

Huh.

Well, while I never understand how something can go from "working fine" to "complete stranger" overnight, that's what has happened and somehow, my Firefox went kablooey.

I updated (usually, they send me a notice that there's a new version ... not this time), and I'm all better now.

Glad you cut through my bluster and helped me anyway.

'preciate it.

Kathy
