In a few days, the first group of my 30 day FP Core items will be ending. A few of these items have front page search status, because of sales. I am told that they will retain their ranking if they are relaunched.
I will need to add inventory to a few of these items, so as to maintain the cost/listing benefit. Will I be able to add inventory to the items while they are in the closed listings folder? Will that new inventory be updated and displayed for the item in the Inventory Folder?
How would I do the quantity addition to each item?

Hello Bill,
In order to increase the quantity for this listing during relist, first locate the listing in your closed section. Then select the listing and click the "Relist" button. Then click the "Edit" link to the right. Increase the amount in the "Quantity" field and launch the listing. Please note that this change will not update the inventory quantity for the inventory item itself.

Thanks Nathan. I note that you wrote, "Please note that this change will not update the inventory quantity for the inventory item itself."
Are there plans to remedy the inability to update inventory? This type of listing appears to be the future of ebay, and search ranking depends upon sales. The key to profitability is to list quantity.
For example 10 items at 0.35 is 0.035/item. Sell 3 and not refill after 30 days, and the new listing cost is 0.05/item, etc.
If I refill the inventory of that listing from closed, it should return to search with previous sales noted. Otherwise, previous sales are ignored and the item will have lower rank in search.
However, it is also very important that I maintain accurate inventory counts.

Hello Bill,
Part of the problem is that you are using the Sales Manager Merchandising Edition, which was not designed for use with inventory. The Sales Manager Inventory Edition was designed specifically for use with inventory, and because of this has tools that are designed for better management of it. I seem to remember that you have a reason for not switching to Inventory Edition, but I am drawing a blank on what that reason is.

I was ready to make the change a few months ago. Apparently, it will be necessary as I have thousands of items to be listed.
The recent stroke I experienced has altered my plans, as I am reluctant to stress out over using a tool, that is unfamiliar to me.
Perhaps in a few weeks, I'll be ready to do the change. In the meantime, I'll struggle with the SMME.

Hello Bill,
I understand. I apologize (for some reason I thought that you had not switched to Inventory Edition because of a feature limitation, or something similar). Whenever you are ready to make the switch, please let us know and we will walk you through it over the phone.
