Since there is not a size requirement in order to calculate parcel post, how can we use parcel post for larger packages?

Hello,
Even if it isn't required, you should still enter the dimensions if you know the dimensions will make the package cost more than it would had you only provided the weight.
This way the USPS calculator can take the dimensions into account and charge your buyers the correct amount.
