As always, forgive me if you've covered this before, but I couldn't find it.

Please take a look, for example, at item number 310103515835.

Please go to the shipping calculator (by clicking on the United States link) and put in a US zip code, for example 48154.

Please notice the light print under the "Service" column after the shipping quote that says: Estimated delivery Varies
USPS delivers within 2 - 3 days after seller ships item

Now.

Please change the destination to some place international, say, Australia.

Please note that the fine print now says:

Estimated delivery Varies for items shipped from an international location
Seller ships within 1 day after receiving cleared payment

Nowhere anywhere EVER have I intentionally selected an option promising that I ship within 1 day to anywhere. I'd like to be able to, but I can't always and in fact my shipping promise is within 5 business days.

Where on earth is this "within 1 day" bit being picked up?

This is bad, bad, very bad for me, and if I've done something to trigger that you have to tell me how to fix it because I can't keep that promise.

Yikes!

(And ... of course, I assume I have to go into every auction that's live and revise it individually on eBay? Any clue where that revision would be made?)

Thanks,
Kathy

Hello Kathy,

Ill need to check into this further and get back to you with our findings. The only details I could find about this issue was over at the eBay Developer boards where users were complaining about the same thing, where calculated shipping was showing this phrase on their international shipping: "Seller ships within 1 day after receiving cleared payment"

Chris

Hello Kathy,

I just wanted to drop a note to say were still checking into this. I listed a number of test auctions both from Vendio and from eBay directly and all of them are showing up this same way, so it doesn't look like it's something you can address from your side currently but if/when we find more we'll post back to this thread.

Regards,
Chris

Thanks .... I appreciate that you're still on it (and relieved that it isn't just a "me" quirk!).

Looking forward to hearing good news about getting this fixed.

No problem. Note however though that I don't believe there is going to be a 'fix' per say, at least one that we can make if eBay is displaying this as a default for this carrier regardless of where you post your items from. (although possibly related to what they consider their 'default handling time' - something I saw on one of the developer forums where others were asking about this same issue when listing their items through other interfaces.)
