I have been listing more auctions, and with 11-12 pages of active auctions to try to refresh and launch the WBN I figured I would sign up for mailstep. I believe I did everything correctly. My question is I recently Someone did a BIN (which is what most of my auctions are - BIN or fixed price). I recieved 4 emails that looked like this:
E
If the link below doesn't appear to be clickable, please copy and paste the entire URL into the address box of your browser window.
The subject was also the letter E and there was no link. It was marked from me to the winner. He emailed me stating he tried to use the checkout button but it wouldn't work. I'm assuming he tried to click it 4 times and that's why I received it 4 times. He tried before the WBN went out and before I received the end of auction email from ebay.
My question is: Doesn't the checkout button work as soon as the auction is over? I would assume many buyers use the BIN and go immediately to the checkout button. Can't it work instantaneously or was it just a one time glitch.

Hi Ihula,
I tried to recreate this and was not able to do it. Was this item a relist and if so, was it during the time that we had the "E" glitch? Is this happening to any more of your customers?

It was a relist - I must have missed the "E" glitch thing. I haven't heard of it happening to anyone else, and I haven't received any other emails like that. So when an auction ends are they able to do the checkout immediately in normal situations? I have had a few people say they haven't been able to use the button. I know one said it didn't recognize her email address, but I was able to put her email address in later and go to the page, so I thought maybe she just tried too early.
That most likely was it then -- we can clarify it for you if you remember the auction ID number for the original auction.
Yes, the checkout works exactly as you have stated. It's a simple alternative way to get your customers to go through your preferred checkout. If you get any more customers that have problems with checkout please feel free to ask us.

I believe the old number was 3308225276. I'm just guessing that I relisted it because that one didn't sell and the one with the problems was launched right after it ended.
