Well, I am very upset. That checkout box is costing me sales - if you scroll down a bit in prevois posts you will see that this bright yellow box appears in my listings while they are active.

I have gotten numerous email complaints from people this week - and my sales have been very slow from it - check my closed auctions yourself AW and see.

Here is an email I just got my someone -

I was very interested in your product but due to that annoying Preferred Check out box I found it VERY difficult to read about the item. I will go onto someone else that allows me to read about thier product with out a yellow box getting in the way.

Want to see the email AW - let me know and I will forward it?

Why do you bring out enhancements without fully testing them. Why are your paying customers guinea pigs for your enhancements. This enhancement sucks - and it hurt my sales - but I bet I will get my $100 monthly invoice from you with not so much of a blink of an eye. When this checkout stuff became available it was automatically inserted in our auctions without much of a notice - and then it doesn't even work.

I will tell you one thing - if I don't hear from someone at AW about this situation - this will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Hello corksmom,

I am very sorry that the new AW checkout has caused you problems. Thank you for pointing this out it is a known issue that is currently being worked on as we speak.

My question is why did it have to become an issue after we all used it in our auctions? Why couldn't you have tested it before hand and let us know that if you run fixed price auctions this annoying yellow box will show up - even if the auction is active - and will cover your text - so no one will read your description because they cant. So, naturally, no one will want to buy your item!!!

Why do we have to find out the hard way???

By the way - it should be a known issue - as I first posted about this on the 26th of January - asking how to get that out of my active auctions - of course - no response. You are still working on it? Should have been worked on prior to it release!!!!!!

Hello corksmom,

We are very sorry for the inconvenience our new preferred checkout panel has caused you. Early on, when we were first designing this new feature, we made a decision to turn the panel on for fixed-price listings while they were still active because we thought it would drive more immediate purchase. We lost track of this decision when we released the functionality and we now realize it was made in error.

We are currently making changes to the behavior of the panel for fixed-price listings so that it only appears after a fixed-price item is closed. We anticipate this change will be released within the next few days and sincerely regret the difficulties the original decision has created.

Thank you for your continued patience and feedback.

Christina

Thank you for a detailed explanation - much better then the normal we have logged it and are having engineering look at it.

Makes the error easier to deal with when you explain what happened and why. I appreciate that!!

I have turned off those annoying boxes for now and will wait to see what you come up with in the future on how they will work with fixed priced auctions. In my opinion they won't work very well with them - if they don't come on until the auction closes - in all reality that could be 9 days after someone buys something with a fixed priced auction - if it is a 10 day auction. By then the payment should have been received.

I think my best bet is to just leave the checkout box at the bottom and not have the preferred checkout boxes show up at all.

If you see a way that this can work differently please let me know.
