PLEASE CHECK MY ACCOUNT SELLER PREFERENCES PAGE... I HAVE THE CHECKOUT BUTTON TURNED OFF !!! I DO NOT WANT THAT LITTLE SHOPPING CART APPEARING IN MY AUCTIONS ! (i prefer a more personal touch with my auctions)....

i see others have written - but the problem does not appear to be getting fixed?

I do not have CHECKOUT checked - nor any box checked in the preferred checkout panel area!

my WBN button is checked to automatically send wbn (unless i uncheck a particular auction when i am doing my listings in pro)

I see this check out button appearing in auctions that i have recently created and are in pending (though i have unlaunched their time for launch and they are just sitting in pending - until this problem gets straightened out) and on items i have moved from closed panel to relist have it also....

i do all my auctions in sales manager pro

what is wrong .....

thanks for quick reply and fixing of this problem ----as sellers , who don't want to or have the time to spend , having to go into each pending auction to uncheck what your system is automatically checking in our auctions - against or preference choice !

thank you

I am having the same problem with my auctions. I just went into my preferences AGAIN to make sure the "AW checkout" button is not selected.

Additionally, in the section just under that for eBay auctions, I have checked the box to do not include.

What's up????? This is creating a lot of extra work!

I have gone into all of my pending auctions, unscheduled them, and unchecked the boxes for AW checkout - and then rescheduled them again (yep, a lot of work)...so far so good.

Now, when the auctions launch, are they going to launch with the AW back in them?

This reminds me of when eBay started their checkout and a lot of us sellers had to put disclaimers in our TOS that we did not use eBay checkout - guess we are going to have to add a disclaimer now to our TOS about AW's checkout

it appears that when I launch from sales manager pro they are initially fine ...i have viewed the auction that has a launch date and there is not checkout cart!

But ! when I UNLAUNCH the auction , they then get the checkout turned on

{I launch and unluanch ....since your launch dates only go about 1 1/2 weeks in the future and the batch i am working on is for launching on feb 20th.... I have to unlaunch and then put in launch date once it gets closer -another suggestion that i have requested and recommended multiple times to include much further future launch dates that has never been changed!)

I have left a few pending auctions in the pending panel (page 2) , that i just launched this morning, that i have not unlaunched yet so you can see them... (i have played around with a few auctions -so about 3 I have manually unchecked - so should the one you look at be unchecked that is the case -not that you have fixed the problem )

the only way to get rid of the check out is to go manually into each pending auction and uncheck the box for checkout! ridiculous !

thanks for speedy reply

Hello stacyp,

You are correct, and I have been able to replicate this error exactly as you stated.

If you have checkout disabled, and upload an item from Pro, then unschedule it, the checkout buton becomes checked at that time.

I have notified engineering so they can check into this further.

Continue to manually uncheck the box on items you upload, then unschedule for now, till we find the cause and impliment a resolution. Additionally, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

thanks for reply - but you need a QUICK fix !

before they implement these wonderful new things ,that a great majority of your users don't want to use any way (and you saw the check out with ebay was a huge flop!) they really need to work out the kinks- this happens every time and now i (along with hundreds and hundreds of your users) will have to spent wasteful hours going thru EACH auction to uncheck that box!

and those are only the sellers who have noticed the checkout in our preview or those reading the boards....others will be in for a big surprise who have unchecked it to be unactive and then it reactivates itself!

please let me know on this thread what enginering says tomorrow - this appears to be a priority issue with many many aw users !

thank you for a timely reply on this matter

I have had the same problem!! I don't want the checkout feature!!!
I have had to go in on my auctions where there have not been bids and edit the description to remove the checkout feature html coding. That is a hassle.
Can that be fixed?
thanks

Hi Stacyp,

We will let you know when this problem has been resolved. It should be fixed shortly so please keep your eye on this thread.

Hi De387 -- I looked at a couple active listings and you don't have the checkout button on them and you have it turned off in your preferences. Did you edit all your active listings? Have you also been launching from Pro?

Regards,

Sonya

WAS THIS JUST A CHANCE HAPPENING OR DID AW FIX THIS GLITCH ( SO I DON'T HAVE TO CHECK ALL MY UNLAUNCHUED AUCTIONS ALL THE TIME)

THANKS FOR REPLY AND HELP TO FIX.

ANY WORD YET ON EXTENDING THE LAUNCH DATES AVAILABLE FUTURE DATES BY ANOTHER WEEK OR TWO? (WAS THAT SENT TO TECHNICAL DEPT AGAIN FOR SUGGESTION?)

Hi Stacyp,

Yes, it just recently got fixed. This should no longer be a problem for you. I would recommend that you check the Announcements forum every now and then, as we post fixes and such in there for your convenience.

Unfortunately I do not have an ETA on your request. You can get around it by using the Recurring Auction feature, however I recommend that you don't go too far ahead because if eBay changes the category you are listing in, you are going to need to change it on whatever you have scheduled to make sure auctions don't error out.

Sonya

Hi,
The Auction Watch checkout button is showing up in my active auctions as well as the ones that ended last night. (2-19-03). I did not check the box to enable this feature and it's causing confusion with my buyers. Please help!

Hi Carolc,

Were these relists? Did you list these from Sales Manager Pro? I would recommend re-saving your preferences for checkout and if this happens again, let us know.

Hi Sonya,
No, they weren't relists. Yes, they were listed through Sales Manager. I have resaved my preferences. Hopefully this will solve the problem.
Is there any way I can remove this button from my auction that is currently running on eBay?
Thanks for your help!
Carolc

Hi Carolc,

The only way to remove it is if you edit the item on eBay and remove the HTML associated with it.

Hello,

I wanted to specify that the code that needs to be removed from your listing is anything between these two lines (this would be embedded in the item description):

<!-- AwChEcKoUtStArT -->
[...]
<!-- AwChEcKoUtEnD -->

I hope this helps.

Diana

Gee..what's up with this..I have the check out too. Now instead of having AW save me time, it's taking up my time. I have to go in and remove the html...and will that all be back in again, when I relist the next time? Geesh..all these auctions, and no time on stuff like this. This was why I used AW instead of Turbo lister..suppose to save me time!!

On the ones I don't get..what is going to happen? What will the winners get? I was soooo close to trying out Turbo this week too.

UPDATE:
Looks like it is just my relists that i unchecked checkout and launched with future date , unlaunched to set penny gallery option and then reset with relaunch date (tonight) and then they got the checkout button back (even after i had unchecked it originally when launching the first time)???

How do I fix this on my items I cant revise?? My auctions are going off tomorrow, and all have this stupid cart that I cant remove?

Hi tillies2treasures,

Items that are scheduled, will need to be unscheduled to make changes to.

In order to bulk unschedule and/or reschedule your auctions, first click the "Pending" link in the lefthand navigation bar. On the next page, select the listings you want to unschedule and click the "Cancel" button at the top of the list.

If you would like to reschedule the listings, select the items again by clicking the check-boxes next to them, and then click the "Resubmit" button. On the next page, you will have the option to launch immediately or reschedule the auctions to launch at a later time.

I haven't seen any response to the check out in some of my auctions. I went into ebay and did the revise thing. Deleted what you said..and darn if nothing changed. What happens when these go off, and I need to relist them. How do I stop the cart, short of starting over (which will not be with AW, if that is the case).
I want to know, how the check out got there in the first place..and why just some aucitons (although going through 140 auctions to see which have it is a real time consuming thing). I have never had this checked to be in my auctions. I want to know what the buyers will see when they click on it, since I don't have any forms filled out for check out.

i too tried to remove the html that you noted earlier in thread- but does not remove it.... that checkout shopping cart is still there!!!

i don't want it there - I don't have it in my preferences to have it there

it has been over 1 week- you wrote problem was fixed -but not- what is up ? and when will it be fixed

what will happen when my auctions end and someone clicks on the cart - since i don't have anything set up for the checkout cart to be active?

auction watch is supposed to save us time- not cause us to spend more time having to look at and straighten out every auction!

How about cancelling this feature altogether until you can launch it correctly?
You have succeeded in making your customers upset for some weeks now.
What is the point of that?
This problem has cost your users both time and money and it is still not fixed!

Hello,

The error has since been resolved. The only items that should see the checkout appear in them now would be items that originally had it when you relist (if you do not edit to remove) or items that were unscheduled in the pending section, then rescheduled to list prior to that bug being corrected. (was corrected late on the 14th)

We would be happy to check into any new items where this happened on, just let us know the details.
