Hi,
When a customer is the winner of more than one auction is there something I can do that will automatically combine the two WBNs' into one. I have been doing it manually, after the customer has already received an individual wbn for each win, and because I just happen to pick up on it or the customer emailed me asking about combining shipping. But they are getting three or more WBNs'. I checked my preferences, and I don't see where there is anything I can check to have this happen automatically. Thanks for any help.

Hello gottaluve,

You can set this up in your Global Preferences. What you will need to do is go to the Shopping Cart section of your Global Preferences and enable your Shopping Cart.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi,
I always have had the 'Shopping Cart Enable' checked off in my Global Preferences. However my items still aren't automatically combining...I have to do it manually.

Hi,
I'm still waiting for the solution to this problem. As I stated last week I DO have my shpping cart enable. Just last night two individual WBNs went out that should have been combined. I combined them manually and once again had to send out a THIRD WBN to one customer. Please advise. Thank you.

Hello,

A WBN goes out to the winner regardless if you have the shopping cart enabled -- this is because you have the auto WBN set to go out upon close of an auction. If you don't want this to happen then you will have to turn off the auto WBN.

Hi sonya,
I understand that. My original question was; is there a way for auto combining of WBN's without having to do it manually. Please see my first post. Thanks.

Hello,

You cannot combine two WBNs into one. You can send out one WBN for the two items (which you've already discovered) but there isn't a way presently that can take two WBNs and make them into one.

Sonya

Okay...
Just to make sure we're on the same page. What you are saying the winner of more than one auction will receive a WBN for each and every win and that the only way to prevent that is to turn off "Send Automatic WBN at the end of auction". Because if that is the case the sending of automatic WBN's is completely useless. One never can guess when there a buyer will win more than one auction, so all auction listings would have to have the automatic wbn sending turned off just in case.
Let me reword my question..
Is there no automatic combining of two wins for the same customer at the end of their auctions which will result in one WBN being sent?

Hi Gottaluve,

If you have the auto WBN turned on -- yes, they will receive a WBN for each auction they win. If you don't want that to happen, turn off the auto WBN.

If you have auto combine turned on, all the WBNs will take your customer to one page where all the items are combined. You just can't compress WBNs that have been sent out into one WBN -- there's no trigger that stops WBNs from going out to someone who already has won something from you. However all WBNs they get -- they all lead to the same place (a page that shows all items combined for that winner).

Please let me know if you need further clarification of this.

Regards,

Sonya
