I was just previewing an auction I created and I saw a checkout button near the bottom of the listing...did this just start today? I listed some auctions last night that look like I want them to look...NO checkout button. So I went into my preferences to make sure that everything was selected/unselected appropriately. The AW checkout in my preferences is NOT checked so I thought something else must be going on. I see that you have to make sure it is unchecked in each and every auction you create on the "create an auction" page. Why not have the default as unchecked in the create process and if I decide I want a checkout button in a certain special listing, I can check it then? Right now, I prefer NOT to have the checkout button in my auctions and I don't want to have to make sure the box is unchecked when I create an auction.

Hi idnyc,

What was the circumstance where you noticed it was checked?

Where did this item you were previewing come from? Was it a brand new item you were listing from the sales manager tab, or perhaps an inventory item?

I checked your account, and when creating a new listing from the Sales Manager, the box was already checked. Just to be sure, I scheduled the item and previewed, then unscheduled it, and in all cases was unable to find this with the box checked.

HI Christopher,
the check-out button is still appearing on random auctions - I had one turn up on an auction that I had in pending. I have never used AW checkout and never selected it. Also, even though I have selected BidPay on may preferences page the BidPay button still does not appear in my auctions. the only answer I get from AW is that "We are working on it". How long does it take?

Hi Jane,

We will let you know about BidPay as soon as we can. We have given you alternatives to get it on your listings each time you post about the issue.

Regarding checkout, there have been various issues with the checkout button in the past few weeks however they have been resolved for some time now. If your items are relists, we recommend you double check the listing because even though the problems have been corrected, it is still going to show up on something you relisted, even if you edited it when it was live. It is good to double check.

Regards,

Sonya

It appears that previous problems with the checkout button have caused my auctions to have the box checked in the create auction process. All the auctions I created the other night were copies of past auctions and I didn't realize this until Sonya answered another users question that relists may have this particular glitch unresolved and to double check my previews before I launch. Last night I created brand new auctions and the checkout box was unchecked on the create auction page...thank goodness!
