eBay has announced that, effective March 4th, 2003, eBay is changing certain fees, including Reserve, Home Page Featured and Bold. All other fees will remain unchanged. Items that are scheduled to begin on the eBay.com site after midnight on March 4th will be charged the new prices, regardless of when they were scheduled.

eBay is decreasing the Bold fee from $2.00 to $1.00. This change applies to all auction-style, Fixed Price and Dutch listings in all eBay.com categories, including eBay Motors non-Vehicles categories (Parts and Accessories and Everything Else) and Real Estate auction-style format. The Bold fees for eBay Motors Vehicles and Real Estate Ad Format remain unchanged.

eBay is also adding a second level of pricing for Home Page Featured based on quantity of items in the listing. For a single item listing, the fee will remain unchanged at $99.95. When the quantity of items in the listing is two or greater, the fee will be $199.95.

eBay is also changing fees for Reserve listings. The new reserve fee schedule is as follows:

-- If your reserve price is from $0.01-$24.99, your reserve price fee will be $0.50;
-- If your reserve price is from $25.00 - $99.99, your reserve price fee will be $1.00;
-- If your reserve price is $100.00 and up, your reserve price fee will be 1% of the reserve price.
-- The maximum Reserve Price fee will be $100.00. (For example, a listing with a Reserve Price of $1,000 will have a reserve fee of $10.00. This change applies to all auction-style listings in all eBay.com categories including eBay Motors non-Vehicles categories (Parts and Accessories and Everything Else), and Real Estate auction-style format. The Reserve fee for eBay Motors Vehicles and Real Estate Ad Format remain unchanged. The Reserve Price Fee will continue to be fully refunded if the item sells.)

More information about eBay's fee changes is available here.

AuctionWatch has updated our online listing pages to reflect these new eBay fees.

Best regards,

Diana
