Hi. I took Sonja's advice in the prior thread on this and added my Tracking w/o Insurance in as the Custom Shipping Option #3 with the Postage + Tracking total dollar figure as the third option. I trust that will work during checkout for my new listings since then.

I still have 6 auctions running and one sold auction without the edit where the customer hasn't gone through checkout yet. I went online and Ebay only allows title and description edits, and their description edit field does not address shipping options for edit. AW error messages say I can only edit an auction after launch directly on ebay. I asked this yesterday but no one has answered yet--any way for me to edit the AW checkout for these 6 auctions already running? Seems to be a catch 22: Ebay doesn't give the options, and at AW the edit only works if attached to that auction at listing. Any ideas?

Thanks bunches.

Hello passedtothepresent,

Once an auction has been launched and is active, all editing must be done from the auction site itself. You should find an edit or revise option under seller services, which will allow you to either edit your auction or add to the description. Most auction sites will not allow you to make changes to the item description once there is a bid on the auction, but you should be able to add to the description.

If you need further assistance with editing your active auction, please contact the Customer Service department of the auction site. For future auctions, you should be sure to utilize the "preview" feature in Auction Manager in order to ensure that your description is correct before you launch the auction.

Thanks Tara. I'm quite new at this, but I had already done everything you suggested before writing today. The more I think about it, it's not an ebay problem--it's an AW checkout problem that apparently can't be fixed the way things are set up. Altering my description does no good--my description is correct as it is. They just can't get through AW checkout and pay the fee the description and WBN describes, because:
1)Apparently AW Checkout can't be edited for ongoing auctions because each set of options is tied to the specific auction only at initial listing, and
2) AW checkout has no provision for the customer to select multiple shipping choices or an alternative "insurance" option-- hence Sonja's advice on how to handle it in the future. Maybe you could submit that one to product development too-- the capacity to offer more adjunct alternatives than just insurance in addition to the shipping method.
Thanks for the weekend response!
