Hello,

Can you let us know a little more about how you plan to do post sale -- through AW checkout or through eBay checkout? You can have both enabled, or have just one enabled, however you cannot send an AW WBN that will lead customers through eBay checkout.

Regards,

Sonya

I would like to use AW check out. I want to be able to set the WBN so I do not have to send emails after an auction ends.

Hello,

You can set up the WBN to go out automatically at the close of an auction -- this is convenient for you, since you won't have to be there when it ends. This does not eliminate eBay's End of Auction notice, however. You can set up the auto WBN in My Account > Post Sale Management Options.

Additionally, we have a Checkout feature that can also be set up in that same area. It is another way for your customers to go through the checkout process the WBN leads them through. You don't have to have that enabled though, you can use one or the other if you like.

Let me know if you need more assistance with getting this set up!

Sonya

So if I set this up, there is no need for me to send another email out? AW will send the email for me?

Hello,

As long as you enable it to go out automatically, you are all set. Make sure when you create your listings that you have your shipping and handling set up.

When the auction closes if you have the auto WBN turned on, the winner will get it and should be able to go through checkout for the item.

Sonya

Hi. I just had an auction 3 days ago (3214486926) that the WBN didn't automatically go out, I had to trigger it manually about 4 hours after the auction when I discovered it. The customer has still not checked out--I sent her my default WBN reminder this morning. All my auctions have the automatic WBN enabled as my post sale default. Any tips to this I might not have guessed? If the WBN didn't go out, any chance they are not getting the email vs not answering? I absolutely love the auto email functions of this program! Thanks.

Hi passedtothepresent,

As long as the box is checked off, it was sent. If there was an issue with their email address, it would have either been unable to send in the first place, or you would have received a bounced notice to your own primary AuctionWatch address from their ISP/client.

I would try contacting them from outside of our system or the eBay contact page, in case their spam filters are on so high they only get direct email.

Hi Christopher. Thanks. The box was not blue/checked off until I had to manually send it. Any known reasons that tends to happen even though the option is enabled so I can avoid it in the future? My auctions before were OK and the one that just closed seems to be working fine. Thanks again.

Hello,

Every so often you will run into a case where the buyers email address/ISP is having issues at the time your listing ends. As I mentioned before, if we cannot send and verify it was sent, we do not check off that step, and you will not get your carbon copy (if your signed up to receive them that is.)

It is a pretty rare happening though, one typically only seen by high volume sellers, where the chances or running into an error like that increase.

If however you start to see this as a common happening, let us know, chances are the above mentioned issue would not be the cause. (unless you happened to notice they are all from the same ISP, and within a specific timeframe.)

Hi Christopher. Thanks bunches, especially for such a quick reply. I'm so new that when I get new glitches I tend to assume I just don't know all the ins and outs of the program yet. I am very greatful for the auto email AW has provided. It is not the end of the world to have to trigger an occasional WBN. I should be checking them anyway.

Hello shawnw82,

The Annual Listing plan does not include the use of the Post Sale Management tools. You will be unable to use them under your current plan.

Hello shawnw82,

Yes it does. The only one that does not, when you are using our listing tools, is the Annual Listing Plan.
