Every chance I get I also plead Vendio to put in SKU's on the invoice. I cannot tell you how much time it will save our business. I know you have many items on your checklist, but please make sure this one gets an extra highlight. Thanks, Eric

The problem is, when like items are sold, each item has to be opened manually at the auction site to see which Item is sold, and the sku number must be put in the description even then.
Sku numbers on the invoice could save a lot, or even if it showed upp on the Post Sale Page, it would be a good start.
Good news -- SKU is now available for your invoices! We have added a section to your Post Sale Management Options that is called Invoice Formatting. You now have the ability to add a sku number, a Store link, a Store logo, and a note on the invoice. You may set the defaults up in My Account -> Post Sale Management Options.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

Okay, I must be missing something somewhere. I've got everything selected and not only isn't my SKU printing on the invoice, my logo isn't either. And I do have a logo for my store; maybe I need to have it loaded somewhere else so it gets picked up?
Unfortunately the SKU number addition does not cover your already closed auctions. Any items you launch from inventory that contain a SKU number since the date of the release will have the SKU display on the invoice when going through checkout.
Forgetmenot1 -- we are checking into why your store logo isn't appearing on your invoice right now.
Regards,
Sonya

Hi Forgetmenot1,
We have resolved the logo issue with your invoices. In order to get the logo to show, you need to have one more preference set -- go to Store Manager and select the checkbox to promote your store in your auctions. This is actually an error, we will be working to fix this but for now, in order for it to show on your invoice, please enable that selection.

Sonya, you stated:
"Unfortunately the SKU number addition does not cover your already closed auctions. Any items you launch from inventory that contain a SKU number since the date of the release will have the SKU display on the invoice when going through checkout."
The invoices I printed were Store items, not auctions - will the SKU number appear after STORE checkout if I every have any more store sales?
Hard for me to tell since my store isn't getting visitors and not making any current sales.
Thanks for clarifying,

Hi Greg,
I have checked on this for you -- if you add a sku to the store item it should appear on the invoice when you print it. If you still have some that aren't showing, let me know the item ID numbers so we can check on it for you.

Hi Sonya,
Thanks for checking on this. I started using SKU numbers for my store items a long time ago. All 2737 items in my store have assigned SKU numbers, including the items sold that I printed test invoices of.
The listing ID number 583869727
This item sold with its assigned SKU 560017 on 7/26/03
Printing the invoice now shows my logo, the added tag at the bottom and the following category information at the top:
QTY, Item Number, Market, Product Description, Unit Price and Shipping Method
I can't see the previously assigned SKU number anywhere on the invoice.
Thanks again for checking on this.

Hi Greg,
Regarding item #583869727 -- how did you get the SKU number of 560017 for it? Engineering has been checking into this issue, and records indicate the SKU for that item is 370004.

Hi Sonya,
I just reverified the information and Order Item #583869727 sold with and still has the assigned SKU # 560017 for a vintage ad titled "1956 Canadian Pacific Ad - Empress of England". My SKU numbers are a logical assignment from my image names of the vintage ad using the last two digits of the year the ad was published and a sequential four digit number for that particular year. For me, the image name and SKU number are the same in my assignments. SKU 560017 has image 560017.jpg associated with this particular ad in my inventory. (I like to keep it simple for me).
The SKU number 370004 belongs to an unsold ad that is still available in my store. Specifically SKU 370004 is assigned to vintage ad titled "1937 Bell Telephone Ad - Symbol of Service".
If it's any help, I went one step further and placed the corresponding SKU # in each ad's item description in the store. It's at the bottom and may be titled Item # or Catalog #. I changed to Item # after someone requested a catalog from me (which I don't have)!
An added note, I had another sale and the SKU did not print on the invoice either. On my Post Sale screen, this is Listing ID# 615097951, Titled "1960 Western Union Ad - CandyGram Telegram" with the SKU (and image) number of 600036.
Hope this helps!
Best Regards,
Greg Williams
