I just went to my recently archived auctions to restore and relist and found that I only have the last 6 weeks available. My preferences have the auto archive function set to 12 weeks. Shouldn't I have 12 weeks available to restore?
The closed auction limit needs to be increased beyond 50. I have never been successful downloading my archive files by the date. I get an immediate error on my computer.
Auto Archive items are only available for restore up to two weeks after they have been archived. If you need to restore some items, I suggest that you deselect the auto archive option in Global Preferences or you run the risk of it auto archiving itself again after you restore. The 12 weeks setting does not affect the items to be restored.
I will log your suggestion regarding closed auction limit.
I wanted to add to this, and clarify a bit - the restore function is meant to be used in an emergency, when you accidentally archive something. There is no set timeframe for how long something will be available to restore - in some cases it may be within a few hours.
Also, there is no limit to the number of items you can have in closed - they will be archived according to closed date (auto-archive default is 12 weeks.) To see all of your closed listings, click the "Closed" link in the lefthand navigation bar - the resulting page will be paginated.
You can set your preferences to disable auto-archive, for now this is free of charge. In lieu of this, we would recommend that you use Inventory to avoid having to re-create listings that are archived.
