I'm testing our Vendio to replace our current auction management & have a few questions. I already sent these to support, but thought some Vendio users might have additional input:

1) Regarding Feedback in Post Sale. Does Vendio pull "Feedback Recieved" information? From the FAQs it sounds like I'm supposed to go to eBay & manually pull this information to track & send reminders.

2)Regarding shipping on multiple quantity (Fixed Price & Dutch) listings. Is there an "additional item shipping" field? I generally calculate additional item shipping on a per item basis, and the percentage does vary.

3) Is there any way to add items or create an invoice for a non-ebay item? For example, a customer might email & ask for extras, accessories etc, and I do some completely off eBay transactions through smaller websites.

4)I know eBay Stores will be supported in the future, but for the time being, is there any way to import eBay store items already launched & sold in Post Auction?

5)Can CC's of messages sent in Post Sale be sent to me?

6)Are there any macros (like %%Shipping1%% for email) available for me to use in my own HTML template?

7)I notice in "Active", "Pending", & "Closed" display pages there is no way to search listings. Will this be added in the near future?

8) What is the %%ShippingCustom%% macro used for?

9)The ad banner in the left menu box covers some of the display options in certain pages.

Sorry for all the questions, I tried to weed out as many on my own as possible. Thanks for your help, Jeff (ferretbee)

Hello,

1. Feedback is manual at this time, the system does not automatically indicate when it was left for you.

2. You can setup shipping discounts via the My Account tab, under the Global Preferences link. Either having shipping be calculated per item, or with a % discount each additional or set $ discount for each additional.

3. At this time, there is no way to generate an invoice outside of the items sold directly via auction or your storefront.

4. You can use the import tool to import them, but without support, most will just sit in the active section with the word updating beaside them.

5. You can setup your PSM preferences to send you a copy of the WBN itself, just none of the other notices at this time.

6. Those post sale macro's only work in the post sale management templates at this time.

7. There are no announcements currently available as to when or if such a tool would become available, but we would be happy to pass along the request on your behalf. Note that clicking on the Post Sale link along that same panel will give you the option to search through your closed items.

8. The %%ShippingCustom%% field is for the first blank carrier box we provide for you to place your own shipping options into. That would list the cost you placed into that field.

9. Which page did you find that a banner was covering any of the options?

Regards,
Christopher

Thank you for the prompt response.

1) This is very dissapointing.

3) So if I understand correctly, the only way to add additional items a customer may want is to use "note"? Otherwise I have to redirect the customer to make additional purchases through eBay?

4)Is there a firm date as to when Stores will be supported?

5) Would CC's or an email record be saved in "Customer Manager".

6) I'm asking about specific launching template macros, not using postsale macros in launching template. An exampe would be inserting shipping & payment options to the body of a non-Vendio HTML Template.

7) This is also dissapointing. If I have several hundred Active Auctions, the only way I'd be able to find individual ones would be to use eBay's advanced search.

9)When "Relist" is used from the "Closed" view, the following page has no Display Options menu .

Hello,

3. The only way to include items on the invoice is if the purchases were made directly through one of the auction venues we support, or via your Vendio storefront.
If you had a Vendio storefront, you could place items for sale there as needed, and have the buyer checkout using the storefront so you can manage it in post sale and create an invoice.

4. There are no announcements currently available as to the date at which eBay stores will become available. It is in the works at this time.

5. The CC is sent to whatever your primary email address is on file with us. If that is your '@Vendio.com' address, that would be the only time it would be sent to your Customer Manager.

6. You can setup your preferences to automatically place the shipping and handing into each listing for you, regardless if you select one of our preformatted templates or not. This is setup via the My Account tab, under the Global Preferences link. You can set it up to display your Payment Options as well as your Shipping carrier/costs, or just one or the other.

9. That is correct. When you are on certain specific pages, the 'Display Option' section is simply not available, not actually covered by anything.

Please feel free to write us again if you have any other questions or concerns.

Regards,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,

I really appreciate your fast replies.

I've distilled all of the various Auction Management Providers down to Vendio & another company. The other service has better pre-auction tools, but is missing some basic post-auction steps I feel are really necessary. I'm running a Ben Franklin analysis to make my final choice, and here are the only real negatives I have with Vendio along with short term workarounds:

·no eBay Stores (supposed to come soon)
·no automated feedback (could continue to process manually--yuck)
·no search for ongoing (could use ebay advanced search)
·no auction template macros (could continue to process manually)
·no CC’s for most emails (not a huge issue if Vendio is stable & protects customer data)

I'd appreciate any insight you have on any of these issues. Please keep in mind that I have several dozen things I like about Vendio, but to choose a provider I have to focus on the negatives & figure out ways around them.

Thanks,
Jeff(ferretbee)
