I was talking to Kevin over in "EBAY OUTLOOK" & he directed me back over here where the main discussion seems to be happening about the new Item Page format and the problems with adding photos to the top of the page. Here is my last entry, with a few additional remarks - everybody needs to read this:

That's nice but there is ONE HUGE PROBLEM! Has anyone gone in and revised their auction to use eBay's Pic Service for the 1st free image in order to get a photo to appear at the top of the page? Have you then noticed that if you had a Gallery photo you were using, it is automatically changed to whatever you chose as your free picture, which, for some of us, is not a problem - BUT that's not all!!! I only changed a few of mine over and then ran out of time (THANK GOD!) because, when I looked at my Seller's List in the "View items with pictures" format tonight, the ones that I had switched over to use eBay's Pic Service were shrunk down to half the size of the gallery photos I had used before - even though they are the SAME URL!!!
It didn't show up immediately, since I had done the changes last night and only am now seeing the difference in the sizes - they looked fine last night right after I did it. I don't know about the rest of you, but if I had to choose between having a full-sized Gallery photo and no photo at the top of the auction page or having the photo at the top of the auction page and a Gallery photo that is half it's original size, I'll go with the full-sized Gallery photo any day of the week. That's where I snag my customer's attention and I work doggedly to make them as big as I can and as excellent as possible to that end and don't want them ending up like little pinhead pictures.
So...I had to go BACK in and MANUALLY switch them ALL back over AGAIN to NOT using eBay's Pic Service and RE-ENTER my own URL as my own Web Hoster to get the Gallery Photo to return to the original full size!! Now, tell me HOW DOES EBAY THINK THAT IS A GOOD THING - TO SHRINK PHOTOS DOWN IF USING THEIR SERVICE IN ORDER TO FIX YET ANOTHER THING THEY HAVE SCREWED UP BY CHANGING THE FORMAT OF THE ITEM PAGE???????
