Loading cookies ...annoying...distracting.....irritating...WHY?
I resent paying for a service that is bombarding us with these flashing ads and having to constantly use my ADWARE to rid of them!
We need to complain!!
Many sites, especially news related sites, use delayed popups. These popups tend to show after you have left the page. You may want to clear your cookies, if you have not already done so. If you have trouble with this, let me know the browser you are using.

The ads are on top of my Manager page..they are on the sides...flashing lights.
Just started a few weeks ago.
I use a POPUP stopper.
I don't get them anywhere else I go.

No, they are not using popups. They are using banner advertising in designated spots on the page (look at the top of this page).
A pop up opens in a new window.
There is spyware/adware that will place popups or place other banners on a page you are viewing. These applications monitor, to one degree or another, your internet activity and place ads accordingly.
They are not recognized as a virus, so your anti-virus program will not prevent them (unless a site attempts a true download).
The only way to rid yourself of these annoying apps is to either manually remove cookies, or to use one or more programs that look for these cookies. I use both Adware and Spybot. One will usually pick up something the other misses. If you remove all cookies and/or disable cookies, you will impact your ability to use some legitimate sites.
I understand the use of banner advertising, and use it myself, as it serves a legitimate purpose and is beneficial to the participants.
Popups and unathorized downloads are another story. They are invading our computers without invitation. I think they should be outlawed along with spam emails.
Vendio does not use pop-up ads - we use banner ads only. If you are getting pop-ups (ads that appear as a separate window in front of your browser window when you load a web page), they are most likely from another website, as Sonya has indicated.
The staff at Vendio is committed to bringing our users the best possible web experience. Approximately 20 months ago, we made the decision that pop up / pop under advertisements were causing difficulties with our users, and decided to eliminate that format of advertising. We still offer "banner" and "tower" ad formats to help offset our company costs. This extra revenue has always helped us to deliver the best service at the best price for our user base.
Over the past 12 months we have focuses our advertising solicitations toward online commerce facilitators, as they may directly benefit our users. We have had strong supporters of our website including BidPay, CheckFree, C2it, Stamps.com, AuctionSection, and a wide variety of wholesale merchants. Although we do not directly endorse these specific products or services, we believe that many of our users could benefit from their product offerings. We also reserve the right to decline tasteless or bothersome banners. We have been very selective, and conservative compared to what you will find on the web today.
Q: If Vendio is not serving pop up or pop under advertisements, why do they appear when I use the Vendio site?
A. There are a few possible reasons for pop up advertisements to appear when the hosting site does not serve them. The most common reasons are 3rd party imbedded advertising "pop / advertising virusware" and time delays. Programs like Gator are often accidentally or intentionally downloaded into your program files. These programs track your browsing usage, and deliver advertising messages (usually pop up ads) while you're surfing the web. Another common reason users will get pop up ads even though the host site is not serving them is from delays. Any web site can put in an advertising "call" when a user visits the page. It's usually up to the website management to determine how long of a delay they will set on the pop up ad. Therefore, a pop up ad can be served several minutes to several hours after visiting that site.
We hope that this will help to clarify the situation, and reassure you that we listen to and appreciate your feedback.

Regarding pop-ups ... the easiest way to get rid of them is to download the google toolbar (go to google.com to find out how) which has a popup eliminator as one of it's latest features. And, the google toolbar is a very useful, instant search engine that is available no matter what website you are on.
Regarding banner ads on Vendio: while some of them are annoying -- they DO help to contain our costs and if you have ever shopped around for another auction service, you'll know that Vendio is one of the most cost effective one. Because they accept advertising WE pay less! Would you rather the ads went away and you PAID MORE? Didn't think so.
Personally I'd rather look at banner ads all day than get spam in my inbox. At least the banner advertiser has paid somebody to annoy me. The spammer is just invading my life for free.

Liveinjeans- You are 100% correct that we favor Vendio with our business. But, I have actively searched multiple times for an alternate service (am a power seller under another ID) and, for the money, Vendio has the most services. Yes, some of their competitors have more services ... and maybe even better services (don't know until you try them). But, for the money we are paying, you cannot beat Vendio. And, again, one of the reasons we are paying so little is because they use the revenues from advertising to defray our costs.
In theory advertising is NOT a bad thing. It is because we have advertiser-sponsored media that we have FREE (to the consumer) media in America. The alternative is government sponsored media or PAID media. Neither is a good option.
OK, I'll climb down from my soapbox now!
