Hi,
Okay, the following is what is have set up:
Vendio Global Preferences
- Include Paypal Check-out Button & Logo
Ebay Preferences
- Show Pay-now button for Paypal only
- Tell buyers I prefer Paypal
- Offer paypal on all my listings
I followed these steps(per your instructions) to enable my customers to Pay instantly with the Pay now button, especially since you have set up the Paypal interaction that can copy the needed info., if they don't use the WBN. And at the same time not to be forced to use ebay's check-out.
Auctions have ended (ex. 3149224708) and all that is appearing is the send invoice button.

Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply.
However, I don't believe that is what is happening. I just had another auction close (#3149224106). Same thing, send invoice appeared at the top. Now I just received and email from this customer through Ebay's invoice system requesting a total and leaving me my customer's shipping address. This is not what I want to have happen!
Please look into this. Thanks.

Hi Christopher,
I had thought also that maybe it was because they were launched before my changes...because my preferences were changed about 5 or 6 days ago. However the two examples from above where just launched last night and were purchased today. They were not relists.

Hello gottaluve,
I believe the Pay Now button will only appear for the buyer when he/she is logged on. Once the listing closes, you will see a Send Invoice button, but your buyer will see a Pay Now button.

Hi,
Okay, I understand that.
But...why did I receive an invoice request(eBay's request total form) from my customer through Ebay?
It reminds me of when eBay imposed that mandatory check-out and we were inundated with "buyer request total amount" emails.
I was under the impression that my settings(stated above) would keep my away from any type of Ebay's check-out.
Unfortunately, you cannot block your buyers ability to use the auction page to contact you directly to ask what their total will be. Even with our checkout enabled or the eBay checkout enabled or both disabled, you will still have some users insist on writing you directly from the auction page to request the total.
Unless eBay impliments a way to block buyers from being able to do this in the future, there will always be a number of users that do this because that is simply what they are used to/comfortable with.

Thanks Christopher,
So it's just a mere coincidence that this started happening only after I changed my preferences? I never had this happen before and now it has happen at least a 1/2 dozen times in the last week.

Hello gottaluve,
How are your shipping preferences set on eBay/Paypal? It sounds as though your customers are being instructed to contact you for a total when they use the Pay Now button.
Thanks,
Diana
PS. Note that because Paypal is now owned by eBay, there is no real option to completely disable Paypal/eBay checkout without removing all eBay references to Paypal from your listings. The way you have it set up currently, your buyers will only see the Paypal payment option when they use the Pay Now button - but in essence they are still going through eBay's "checkout".
