I recently set up sales tax to be charged for sales in my Home State, and now as people are going through Vendio Checkout, they are apparently being charged tax no matter what state they are ordering from.
Is anyone else ever experienced this, or know if it is a setting that I have set wrong?

I know of no "setting" that would cause this problem. Since there is no automated tax calculation the buyer must input the tax percentage for their state.

Hi Gousainc,
I would recommend that you go to My Account > Post Sale Management Options and in the Sales Tax box, put wording in there letting your buyers know that you charge tax only in your home state. It is blank right now -- putting text there may help this problem because when buyers go through checkout, right where the tax selection area is, is where the text will appear.
No, that is not what I am saying -- tax has always been a manual add, to be done by the buyer. You state in your listings that Missouri residents must pay sales tax but when people go through checkout, they'll see the tax drop down and could be inclined to enter it for their state (regardless of what your auction says). Adding the words "Missouri residents please add x.xx tax. No tax for other states" or something along that lines, will keep the communication going to the buyer that you are charging tax only for the state of Missouri.

Why hasn't Vendio added this important function (automated tax) yet? I know it has been discussed in the past and couldn't be too difficult to integrate.
