Hi-
In the last week this has happened twice. Someone bought and paid for an item, then later (before I shipped the first item) bought more, so I combined them to save shipping and when the buyer went through the second checkout, they received the proper credit from Vendio. Great.
However, when they clicked on the pay with paypal button on the confirmation page, Paypal didn't have the credit for the first payment, and didn't charge them for shipping. Both customers went ahead and paid the second amount, and I had to refund the original payment and eat the shipping cost.
an example:
BUYER bought earrings for 16.00, paid 18.30 for earrings, 1.00 shipping, and 1.30 insurance.
The next day, BUYER bought earrings for 12.00 and a bracelet for 25.00. I combined these with the first pair of earrings. The checkout gave a total, with shipping, after giving credit for the first payment, of 37.50. As it should be. But when the buyer went to Paypal, everything was put into a "shopping cart" (I'd never seen that before, is that new with paypal? Do I have something set wrong?) and they were charged 53.00- 16.00+12.00+25.00 with no shipping.
I have forwarded this information on to Engineering. There's currently an issue where PayPal is invoicing the total of the order, regardless of what credits are already applied. I will keep you up to date on this issue.
