Hello,

We have had some very frustrating experiences lately were wondering if any others had any similar problems or solutions.

First of all, lately the Vendio site has been leaving ‘cookies’ on our browser which eventually restricts us from obtaining any results from a search of our inventory. Any search whatsoever returns NO RESULTS AT ALL! Not even “no results found”.

The only current solution we have found is to delete all cookies form the Vendio site. This is a nuisance because then all of our preferences are gone and need to be reset. It becomes even more menacing when in a day or two the problem returns.

Also, we constantly process many multiple orders, some containing 100 or more items. Vendio’s checkout system currently times out after 30 seconds returning a ‘Fatal Error’ because the Vendio system cannot keep up with the size of our orders. This is a great inconvenience for our customers; it makes our checkout completely irrelevant. We then need to manually combine and calculate the totals for our customers.

Is there any way to manipulate the time out setting for the checkout procedure?

This is our first post to this message board and we do appreciate any help you may have to offer.

Regards,
Priced-LessCDs

Hello,

The cookies that go into your browser should not affect your inventory search. What are some of the search terms you are using?

Regarding the time out issue of combining large orders -- this is a known issue, I have forwarded this information over to engineering. In the meantime you might want to send separate orders, combining 15-20 items but no more than that. I know that is tedious but unfortunately that is the only available solution for this problem.

Regards,

Sonya

Greetings,

We do appreciate your prompt response. Regarding the fatal errors in our larger orders, we find this situation very upsetting. We deal with buyers who purchase hundreds of items at a time. Asking our customers to or manually limiting orders to fifteen to twenty is a tremendous burden. We rely on promoting discounts on larger orders. With the amount of orders we deal with it is an unacceptable flaw in your system. Please provide us with the means to handle our transactions conveniently or we will have to look into another auction service whose computers can handle our customers' demands.

The cookie problems have been vast and prolific. We currently have two separate Vendio accounts used on five computers, some with IE 6.0 and some Mozilla 1.5. The "no results" has been a constant source of aggravation for the past month or so.

We have tried using an immense combination of search terms just to see if there were any results whatsoever. Query's such as "blues", "classics" and "new age" turn no results when there should be numerous returns. When the problem is active no results are returned on any query. We are taken to a page with the standard inventory bar and no results, not even the message that claims there are no matches.

This problem has affected every computer in our company. The solution every time has been to log out of your system and delete the cookies left in our browser. Because it works we can only assume that it is the cookies that are the problem.

Hello,

I've checked your inventory and searched by the terms you provided. I repeated all of them and each time the return on results was quick. You might want to check your internet connection or if you have access to another ISP, try searching under that ISP. Did you change anything perhaps, about your internet set up in the past month?

I will forward your comments regarding the order issue to engineering.

Regards,

Sonya
