I am totally new to this. I would like to make some unique descriptions. How do I change things such as font size and colors?

Believe this or not but for a beginner I think Ebay does a good job of showing html. Just go to Ebay click on the help button at top and do a search for html. Html is the code used to generate the web pages. You will find basic commands to use for color, font, size, lists, etc. Be prepared to play around some. I have found that the most important codes for me are line break BR, Paragraph P, and unnumbered list UL, with these you should be off to a good start.
You can also search the web for basic html code and hit on a couple of good web sites for beginners.
When entering your text into the description box for your new item listing, you will need to use some basic HTML tags to allow the text to be formatted with paragraph breaks and line breaks. The tags you need are listed below:
<P> - Insert this before any text where you would like to start a new paragraph.
<BR> - Insert this where you would like a simple line break (as if you hit the enter key.)
