I listed this question on Ebay but it may be a matter of how I'm listing so I'll put it here, as well.

I just started paying attention to Ebay stores because my Vendio stores are really picking up.

I launch items intended for the Ebay store from on-line inventory and all goes well.

However, I have hundreds of auctions up at a time. As is usually the case, my categories and Ebays are somewhat different. So these hundreds of auctions are making arbitrary decisions on which store category they'd like to go in. And all the decisions are wrong.

I need two help's. One long-term and one short term.

Short term - is there a fast way to change these auctions' present location in the wrong store categories to the right categories? If I go one by one, it's years.

Long term - any way to direct items that are launched for auction on which category they will be located in the Store.

Thanks,
Fred

I am able to set the Ebay Store Category the item goes in the Ebay Item Specifics page of On-line Inventory.

They are Categories 1 - 11.

Have you recently changed your Store Categories at eBay? Go to the (VENDIO) "eBay Site Specifics" section under (VENDIO) "My Account" to update your categories.

If your categories are not set correctly in your Vendio account, it may be misdirecting items.

Then you would need to open each item in Inventory, and go to the Ebay specifics Section to set the correct Store Category.

Let us know if this helps.

I take it then that when an item is launched from on-line inventory, it goes into whatever Ebay store category was chosen in "Edit". And if, at the time, none was chosen, then it winds up anywhere?

If that's the case, it explains all. I wasn't paying attention to Ebay stores at all so those poor little critters had to fend for themselves when they wound up at the store's doorfront.

Speaking of SM Pro, have the programmers seen the neat way that Ebay allows batch cross-merchandising?

And as SM Pro does not now support cross-merchandising but I'm sure they are working on it, wouldn't that be a great gadget for SM Pro 5.4?

If there is no category set, it would seem strange to end up in differing categories.

Before I started assigning store categories, my items ended up "one particular category", not various ones.

Hopefully Vendio support will jump in.

My views are just from my experience, not from the underlying computer code that drives this.
