OK, although I do LOVE the "auto" fill-in-the-name-&-address-fields-&-change-PSM-box-#3-to-blue-when-a-bidder-pays option feature available through the new integrated Paypal payment, HOWEVER, I have not selected the option to use the feature in my auctions. I am at a loss as to why this feature is operating for me. Can you explain?

Also, some Paypal payments get automatically posted with name & address filled in and other payments don't get the "auto" stuff done - what is determing them to be different - the way the customer fills out things at Paypal? Are they being directed to the Paypal link through the WBN & simply not understanding about selecting the "auto" feature, or what? If they aren't accessing the Paypal "auto" feature through the link in my WBN, then how are they getting the shipping amount, since that is the only place where I have it stated?

I also went to Paypal & checked my profile there & none of the automatic notification options are selected there either, so where are they coming from & why?

One last question: I don't state my shipping in my auctions, so if I want to select to opt for the automatic Paypal integrated payment features, do I have to state the shipping in the auctions, or is it all done through my WBN?

Sorry about all the questions, but it seems so willy-nilly/random how things work with it, I need some basic info that I'm not getting when I read about the new feature.

Hi Biffette,

Auto mark as paid option for PayPal payments is enabled if user checks the Vendio My Account: Post-Sale Acceleration setting named "Enable PayPal Notification...". It is also advisable, to setup your account at PayPal with the given URL (see http://www.vendio.com/promo/mailstep/ipn_tran.html).

When a buyer pays for an item at PayPal, PP sends a notification to us. Depending on your IPN settings at Vendio, the item will receive a credit. If you did not enable IPN at PayPal, you could have still received notifications, as the IPN setting at PayPal is not mandatory (see above).

If buyer checkouts the item via Vendio checkout (WBN link), the payment will also contain the shipping and handling charges you provided. If on the other side, he pays via eBay, and you do not provide eBay checkout instructions, then the buyer will pay only for the item. Note that in any case you should provide S&H amounts (at Vendio, through the WBN, or at eBay via eBay checkout, or by direct email to the buyer).

If you still have questions about some transactions, please post the item IDs for which you are unclear.
