I just discovered that an ebay seller has hijacked 2 of my vendio-hosted images and has been using them on his listings!
So now I have several extra charges on my Vendio statements for this fraudulent use.
HOW DO I PUT A STOP TO THIS??
I tried to delete the images from Vendio, but they stay in the recycle bin for 14 more days!
So I thought I'd fix the guy by changing the images to post a copyright/misappropriated notice on them, by uploading new images with the same name over the old ones. Upload claims it was successful, but it still shows the old images.
NOW WHAT???
Doesn't Vendio offer any protection against this (other than forcing me to pay a monthly charge??)
Please note there is a delay of about 2 hours before the new image takes the place of the previous image. Once an image is removed from image hosting and sent to recycle, it will be removed from active listings as soon as our system updates.
The best way to prevent image theft is to apply a watermark. We offer this service for a low monthly cost of $2.95 per month. You can also find scripts on the web that will disable right-click on an image - this might help deter someone who is trying to steal your image.
