Hi Davebraun,
Do you have any settings active in your Paypal account that apply tax to your items. Also, is this happening for every item now or just intermittently?

Yes, if I don't the half of my customers who avoid the checkout will not be taxed. This was working fine until a day or two ago I began to notice this happening (obviousl it only happens with in state customers). It was a problem a year or so ago and then some changes were made on vendios end so it was not happening until recently.
I also have noted for some reason that recently some paypal payments are automatically applied twice although only one payment was made. That has happened two or three times in the past couple of days. I have checked the paypal history and there were no double payments made.
