I rarely launch from my inventory, but the few times I do many of my auctions error out in my pending with this error message:

Error 17: Item not found in eBay's database.
Item with id "3552486004" is invalid or no longer present in eBay's database.

Whats up with this? I have 5 right now sitting in my pending with this message and nothing I do will allow them to be launched.

Can you provide the titles of the items in Pending so we can investigate the situation?

Thanks Darin,

titles:

1)The Virgin Enthroned, Thayer- Antique Print
2)Little Girl Holds a Rag Baby Doll- Antique Print
3)Children Fishing Await a Bite, Fish- Antique Print
4)Sweet Girl in a Bonnet Holding a Letter- Antique Print
5)Woman in Forest, Blossoms, Art Nouveau- Antique Print

All are marked 'Error' and all are on page 11 of my Pending.

(there is another one there that errored out, but it says that it was a duplicate auction- or something like that- I never checked on it at the time, I but don't want to deal with it right now)

Thanks

Hello,

If these were cancelled by eBay, or old enough that eBay purged the original data, you will continue to get this message if you try to relist since the data isn't available for relist. To get around it, open up each listing and click on the blue 'copy' button in the upper right corner. Then, launch the copy to eBay.

Thanks Sonja,

I am not sure how old these were, but I thought since I launched them from my inventory then it really didn't matter how old they were (they were copied to my inventory when I originally created the auction).

I'll try the copy route and see how that goes Thanks!

Ok, I clicked on 'error, clicked on 'copy', then put a '*' in the title of the bad auction (so I would know that it was the bad auction)...saved it...then returned to my pending and launched the new 'copied' auction- and they STILL didn't launch and came back with 'errors'. These auctions originally were copied to inventory and launched without any problems; and now, down the road, error out. Very strange as they are part of a set of about 30 similar auctions (diff titles) that I lauched (& saved to inventory) previously. I had pulled all 30 of them from inventory yesterday to re-launch, and out of 30, these 6 error out (24 launched). Like I said, I have had this happen before. I think the only alternative is for me to actually 'copy and paste' the auction description into a completely blank, new auction, but this is a bit of a pain- do you have any other possible ideas before I do this?

Hello,

Please double check your category, and your attributes. You may need to double check the country and region section for the print auctions -- eBay recently split them to give you the choice of US or Canada in certain categories. Let me know if the problem continues.

(sigh)

I double-checked my catagories and everything else, and all is normal and the way they should be. I even went through the process of changing the catagory (though I just re-selected the same one when it came up) and it didn't make a difference. My shipping option is 'world-wide' as it always has been, and that choice hasn't changed...

It is just strange that of these 30 auctions that all went into my inventory at the same time (all with the same attributes) get pulled to be relaunched, and 6 'error out', while 24 launch just fine.

Any last ideas before I resort to opening another explorer window to 'copy and paste' the description and literally re-create those auctions?

Regards,
sfnyartist
