I was just notified about a change in the composition of auctions for Movies and Books on Ebay(below).
I'm not sure if this has been addressed by Vendio but the photo they show of the new listing is disturbing.
The item specifics they show is a very detailed rundown of the film. Ebay fills in this info on the film.
They have used variations of this in the past where they will list a photo and film info for you if it is desired.
And there were item "specifics" in the past but these where simple with four options.
This time there is heavy detail in "specifics".
The biggest change is the notification (threat) that if you don't use "specifics", your item will not show up in a search.
Am I misreading this or will I no longer show up in searches if I list films through Vendio?
If the current "item specifics" still gets me into searches, how much am I missing in that I only have four choices in SM Pro but there are almost 20 details listed in the sample Ebay shows of the new section.

Dear Movie Seller,
This is a final reminder that on March 16 eBay will simplify the category structure in DVD, VHS, Laserdisc, and Film categories by replacing the lower levels of the existing structure with Item Specifics.
Why we are making these changes:
Since there implementation in many categories over the last year, Item Specifics have been proven to be an effective tool for buyers. Item Specifics give buyers more control over their searching/browsing experience than sub-categories. Item Specifics enable buyers to more quickly and efficiently fine items they are looking to purchase.
Sellers who use Item Specifics have seen higher sell-through rates than those who do not use them. By removing the overlapping sub-categories with Item Specifics, sellers will no longer need to choose the same information twice. Listings that do not use Item Specifics will not appear to buyers who use the Product Finder.
How Sellers can use Item Specifics
There are two ways to select item specifics when listing an item in Movies:
1. Listing with Pre-Filled Item Information automatically populates most Item Specifics. Sellers will still need to select the “Condition” Item Specific (i.e. New/Used) to better assist buyers in finding products.

2. Manually selecting Item Specifics in the Sell Your Item or other listing process.

For developers using eBay APIs, go to eBay’s Developer site, select "API Documentation” and search by "Item Specifics" or “Pre-Filled Item Information” for full details on API implementation.
If you are using an eBay Preferred Solution Provider (PSP) or other 3rd party listing tool, please contact them to understand how to list with Item Specifics.

Hi there,
We are set up to apply item specifics through our system, and generally changes are available shortly after eBay makes an update. We are not set up for pre-filled item information yet, but that is something that is in evaluation right now. All item specifics fields avaialble on eBay should be also available through our system and in SM Pro, but as always you will need to do a synchronization before changes will be pulled into Pro.

Diane back on 3/12 you said "We are not set up for pre-filled item information yet, but that is something that is in evaluation right now."
