Hi, My images are alittle hazy and not crisp when uploaded to Vendio. They started out clear when I saved them to file. I know this problem has been posted before. And the answer from vendio is if you are an AOL user, disable the compress graphics web preference and your images should clear up. Well, we are not aol, we have North Penn Access as our internet provider. I edit my high quality images thru Microsoft Picture It, then upload in Vendio. My images are clear when I bring them into Microsoft Picture It, then when uploaded they are not as clear and lose resolution. I sell dolls on ebay and clear images are important. I tried disabling smart image dithering on my computer internet options, and this did not clear up my images. I have another auction to launch, but am unhappy with images. Any help in this matter would be appreciated. katydidsattic ebay

I had the same problem when saving the images as JPEG's. Now I save them as GIF's and they are much clearer.

Hi Katydidsattic,

Do you have any image compression settings on your computer? These might also cause this problem, regardless if you are an AOL user or not. Please check your browser settings. I have viewed your images and they look perfect on my end.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya, Thank you for checking out my images on my ebay listings. I appreciate you telling me they look good. I've searched for a compression setting and so far have come up with nothing. Thanks again. Kathie

Hello,

Try clearing your browser cache and restarting -- let me know if the problem continues.

HI Sonya, I clean out my temp files every other day and email files every week. The images still do not look as clear as when I uploaded them into my Microsoft Picture It.
I'm looking into buying my own auction template, and using just Picture It for images, thus bypassing vendio. I don't know what else to do. - Thanks for your help. Kathie

Please send me one of your images so that I can take a look at it, and upload it to your account. You may send it to [email protected].

I am having the same problem with pictures as katydidsattic. The look clear before I download them to Vendio and when I download to Vendio and list my items, the pictures look terrible. Is there any step by step directions on how to size, change resolution, etc. for people like me who aren't that good at it? I have a new computer, dig. camera and scanner so why are my pictures coming out so blurry when I download them. Thank you for any suggestions.

Hi folkheart, Sonya, of vendio customer service, helped me with my image problem. She had reviewed my vendio settings and said I had the *enlarge image option enabled*... This may be your problem also. Click on the MY ACCOUNT tab at the top of this page, then GLOBAL PREFERENCES, then scroll down to Item Listing Options. Unclick or disable the option *automatically scale down large images for faster download and cleaner presentation*.
I save my images half page, save them to file, then upload in vendio. Is this how you are saving your images also ? Since I was saving my images half page, the option to scale down my images was enabled, and my image would be made smaller, thus bringing on the hazy look. If your service provider is aol, there is an option in your web settings to compress graphics, disable this and vendio says your images should clear.
I have been frustrated over hazy images for about a year, and finally my problem is solved. I would have never known how to cure it, but I posted here and customer service read my post and Sonya was a huge help.----Good Luck - Kathie

Hi Folkheart,

You can send me one of your images too, use the email address I posted up above and I will see how they look before and after the upload.

Regards,

Sonya
