Hi,

I'm trying to launch 2 auctions. They are both erroring out with this message:

Error 5112: Attribute Set Id does not match category.
Attribute Set Id "1275" does not match category you have entered for this request.
Note: this error may be related to the Item Specifics content you entered. Please review content in 'other' fields in the Item Specifics section for validity and number of characters

Please help. Thanks.

Hello,

The error you are receiving means eBay has either added item specifics to the category you are listing in, or they have changed the item specifics for the category you are listing in.

To resolve this error, please locate the Category section on the create listing page (underneath templates, above Features) and click on the Edit Category button. In some cases, after you do this, you will need to reselect your category starting with the Top Category -- but in most cases, hitting the Continue button will be sufficient. After selecting your category, you will be returned to the create listing page. Scroll down to the category selection area, where you should see some item specifics options. Fill them out, then Save your listing and proceed with launch.

I have deleted your other post on this issue since the answer is now posted here for you.

Regards,

Sonya

Thanks. I did as instructed and it worked on one of the auctions, however, the other one errored again. I've reset the category setting again and rescheduled the auction.

I had the same problem today, too, with items I listed yesterday, which were in my pending auctions today because of this "error". I was surprised when I realized they were not listed. I tried to launch again several times, after many changes and checks for errors, but they are still "pending" a few hours later after my re-list attempts. They did not show an error status when I tried to launch and it seemed everything was fine. Listing schedule was confirmed.
I even deleted the category specifics to get rid of whatever conflicting problems.
Any ideas?

I am having this same problem and have no resolution. I posted on it as well. It erased my item specifics on a relist - they were there on the original auction but not on the relist. Also changed my gallery image! I put the item specifics back and the auction errored out for the same reason ... I went in an looked and sure enough the item specifics were gone again. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME FIVE TIMES ON THE SAME AUCTION. I keep putting the item specifics back and they keep disappearing on me again. AW: Please look into this -- it's happening to enough of us that it is CLEARLY NOT OUR FAULT ... something is wrong with Vendio/eBay interface. Thank you.

Hello Georgiapeach49,

I see one listing in pending, scheduled for launch. Is this the one that was erroring out on you? If not, were you able to get the errored out listing to launch?

Vivabe and Lennonhall -- I've responded to the other thread you both posted in, to ask permission for us to try to launch your errored listings.

Regards,

Sonya

Dear Sonya,
I gave you the OK to relist my two pending items on the other thread on 4/28.
I tried again on the 28th and they still errored.
Go ahead and try to lauch them. Thank you very much in advance. I will check this thread again later tonight.

Hello,

Thank you for your response. I was able to replicate the error. Please try clicking the blue 'copy' button in the upper right corner, and launching the copy. If that fails as well, try changing the category or item specifics around to get it listed, and then edit it when it's on eBay. We'll need to check into this one further.

Regards,

Sonya

They are launched.
Changing the category did not help. They still errored.
They launched when I copied and submitted. However, I did not change the categories again (for the "copy" trial) to keep things the same.
Now, I need to go change the categories quickly - my majolica things are going to look funny in Chinese antiques! Hope no one will be silly enough to bid on them.
Thanks for your help and for working on this furthermore.
Viviane
