SonyaCS, BobCS or anybody,
I have very much enjoyed Vendio's gallery and I think it has worked well for me.

But in the past couple days, my gallery has faded into the background with just the spinning loading thing in all the squares and then after about 3 long minutes, it shows the generic velvet curtains with "Click Here" on it.

What happened to my gallery and why aren't my pics displayed in it anymore?

Please help me get it back.

Thank you very much,
~ReallyWonderfulStuff

Hello,

Is there a particular item of your showing the gallery this way? When I reviewed your listings active on eBay, the gallery appeared to be displaying the photos properly.

Christopher

Thanks for looking into it Christopher CS.

Strange that you don't see an issue, because I just checked every one of my current listings and none of them show pics in the Vendio Gallery.

And just to be extra clear, I am not talking about the pics in the actual item listing, as all those pics are just fine. I am talking about the Vendio Gallery that crawls/scrolls hrizontally across the top of the page for each item up for bids.

For example, here is one of my items:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2615&item=3192096802

I still see my gallery as faded into the background with just the spinning loading thing in all the squares and then after about 3 long minutes, it shows the generic velvet curtains with "Click Here" on it.

I never saw this until a couple days ago. It has always worked beautifully before.

Does anyone else see it not working? Or is it just some odd cache thingie or something on just my computer?

Thanks for your help.

Could it have anything to do with the image hosting technical problem a folks have been experiencing, discussed in this thread:
http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=15&thread=86083

But then again, their issue is fixed now and mine is still not working, so maybe they are not related.

Just a thought.

Hello,

I just checked your example as well, but this is what is coming up in my end, on both of my test machines.

Try maybe just clearing your browser cache and temp files and even restarting your browser/machine and see if it changes the appearance.

Please let us know the results of your efforts.

Yep, you were right.
Clearing the cache did the trick.
Very strange. That has never happened to me before.
I'm just glad the eBayers were seeing the pics in the gallery all along.

Thanks so much for all the great and very quick help that the "CS" folks provide here.

I have had a lot of problems with the gallery too. I have had images disappear from the gallery and the curtain take its place, images disappear from the auctions too, and then when i put the images back into the auctions, the curtains were not replaced. Now, suddenly, every image in my gallery is of a second picture of a go-with item that I put SECOND on every auction- replacing the picture of the item itelf. And furthermore, pictures I put back in last week are gone again. Here is a link to one of my auctions so you can see for yourself.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=4167671189

I put the picture back last week, now it's gone from the auction AND the gallery is a mess.

Can't sell without pictures and now I will view every single aucgtion AGAIN and see how many are missing images.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

Hello Archiedog,

This is actually the result of your own preferences (the gallery issue.)

This is how your gallery preferences are currently set.

Unfortunately when you set your preferences to use the eBay gallery image first, and you do not have anything in the eBay gallery, it jumped to the second option which you have set as the second picture attached to the listing.

The second picture in all of your auctions is this stand, so this is the one that is selected.

You can change your gallery preferences to say you want to use the first listing image instead via the My Account tab, under the Gallery Preferences link found within.

As for item 4167671189, I made a duplicate of how this item was saved and placed it into your pending section for review. It doesn't appear that the image is not displaying properly for this item, rather there is no image saved with this item unfortunately.

Click the Image Hosting tab, and select the image(s) you want to attach to your auction. Click the "Attach" button at the bottom of the page. On the next page, select eBay from the drop-down menu, and click the "Existing Auction" radio button. The next page will require you to enter the auction number.

Regards,
Christopher

Thank you for the help. I changed my preferences- how long do you think it will take the gallery to show correctly?

RE the picture, when I put the auction up originally, the picture was in it. I have added it on ebay at Revise... That is why it hasn't saved to go in the next time I put the auction up through Vendio? Because, I just added at ebay Revise... again. I could not do it with your instructions. I got the picture attached, but when you said, "On the next page, select eBay from the drop-down menu, and click the "Existing Auction" radio button. The next page will require you to enter the auction number. " I was stumped. How do I get to the next page with the drop down window?

Thanks

Hello,

After you select the image and click Attach, you are taken to a page where you make those selections. It's right under the image to your left, under 'Select an Auction Site'.

Let us know if you have any more trouble with this.

Regards,

Sonya
