I have been bothered by two problems with Post Sales.
1. Some FP auctions were closed by "Buy It Now". But they never appeared in the Post Sales screen. I can find them on eBay's My eBay web page though.
2. Sometimes, when I click "Import My listings", those archived items appeared in the Post Sales screen again.

These two problems are really annoying. Can someone help me out? Thx.

Hello,

Do you have some of the item numbers of the auctions that did not appear in post sale? Please let us know if these items were new items or relists, and if they were in your Active Listings list in Sales Manager the whole time. Regarding the import -- the import will import all active listings that haven't been launched from Vendio, and some closed listings that weren't launched from Vendio (I believe up to the past 30 days). You will unfortunately have to keep archiving them if you are frequently using the import feature.

Regards,

Sonya

Thanks for the reply. They are all new items. Here are some examples: 6306617330 and 6306617394. I can see them on My Ebay but can't find them in Post Sales.

Regarding the Import feature, it's very inconvenient. Can the Archive feature really work as it was designed? The reason why I have to use Import again and again is some closed auctions don't appear in the Post Sales and I have to do importing manually. Is there any way to mandate a refresh in Auto Sales?

Hello,

These items weren't originally created in Vendio Sales Manager so you'll need to use Track Other Listings to get them in your account, since they're closed now.

How do you plan to list from here on? The import tool was designed for new users to import auctions created elsewhere into Vendio so that they could list those items again through Vendio. It will bring in closed items sometimes as well, if its within the past 30 days. There is no way around this unfortunately. Archive is almost the same as Delete, what's happening is when you do the import it takes the items out of archive and puts them back into Cloosed, if they are recent.

Sonya

Using "Track other listing" doesn't work, I just tried to track another closed auction 6306127043 but returned 0 record. Then after a while, this auction appeared in the Post Sales screen. I found that once the buyer has made the payment through PayPal, the auction will be detected by Vendio and appears in Post Sales. This is not we want and we would hope to use Vendio to manage all the listings no matter whether they are created with Sales Manager. As a matter of fact, most of my listings are not created with Sales Manager because I'd like to customize the appearance with HTML myself.

In addition, how often will Vendio refresh the active and closed auctions?

Hello,

The "track other listings" tools will only help if the item is truly not in your Sales Manager, not if it is simply still sitting in the active section, if the item had just sold recently and not dropped yet.

Currently Vendio and eBay both show you with 85 active items, so everything you have launched is currently tracked in Vendio. If you have items close and they do not drop to your closed section - just refresh your active list and they will drop to where you can manage them in post sale.

"I'd like to customize the appearance with HTML myself."

You can use the blank Vendio templates and still list your items from here, you are not limited to using the Vendio templates or preformatted designs at all. If you have any questions on how to get a completely blank slate to list from in Vendio, so you can more easily manage your listings, please let us know. The import system was never designed to be used on an ongoing basis, and you could continue to run into items here and there that do not track correctly.

Regards,
Christopher

Thanks much for the reply. This does resolve the problem. I am able to track my lost auctions now.

As for the templates, yes, I do need a complete blank template. One of the reasons is I don't like the font in the default blank template provided by Vendio but has no way to change it. This prvents me from using the Vendio Launching feature, though I like this feature.

One more suggestion (let me know if I should post it somewhere else): can we have a more flexible shipping cost profile? I mean we can only specify a fixed amount of shipping cost at this point and this is not practical in the real life. To be fair to all eBay buyers, I am specifying shipping fees by three regions: US, Europe and Australia/NZ. In each region group, I am also providing three shipping options including UPS, EMS and Registered Airmail each of which is associated with a different cost. How can we handle this complex situation? Probably in the Vendio Checkout page, buyers can specify the country and then the relevant shipping option group (UPS, EMS and RA) is displayed to them? I think this is a useful feature for all the sellers.

Hello,

I will log a suggestion on your behalf for this. We have two customizable shipping fields which you can use to input a carrier that is not already available in the drop down list -- a suggestion for now could be to put directions in your Checkout messages and your auctions saying "For buyers in XX country, please select XX shipping in checkout" and then in the blank fields you can put the carrier, and the country in parentheses. This would work for the customizeable fields -- then for UPS you can state in your listings that buyer in XX country please select UPS. I know this sounds like a lot of work, but it should work out for you.

Sonya

Hi. Vendio gives you 2 ways to get a "blank" template depending on which parts of the images and html you want to manage yourself. If you choose the "blank template" template-option you get a totally blank white page to paste in anything you want. In this case, you can attach image(s) and they will automatically load in at the very bottom (after everything is over) unless you also put image code in your description where you want them pulled in from image hosting. The attached image will, however, pull into the vendio gallery if you are using it.

If you don't mind the vendio templates but only need to control absolutely everything in the description yourself, try the "embedded layout" choice with one of the templates. You control everything, but you also have to control the insertion of all the pics yourself. In this case the pics will not pull into the vendio gallery or automatically load into the listing (because they have not gone through the vendio "attach" process). Pics will only appear where you program them into the description html. For embedded images, if you host with vendio use the code src="http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/yourvendioID/yourimagename.jpg" in your html.

Thanks for the help. It's useful. However, even with the blank template, Vendio will still add some information such as Preferred Checkout at the bottom of the web page in a font I don't like. Can Vendio provide a totally blank template for us?

Yes, you can get a totally blank page. Just go in and turn off all your vendio defaults for everything and opt out of the checkout, counter, special/custom text sections--everything. Be sure you opt out of everything in both the template workshop (turn off the custom text field, etc.) and also your account preferences sections. The only thing you will never be able to get rid of is the automatic vendio ad rolled into the bottom that says your ad was listed with vendio. Other than that, if you turn everything off everywhere and use the blank template the page will be truly blank.
