I have close to 100 auctions that keep erroring out with this message...

Error 5028: Invalid Value. (30:94)
Value given for "Condition" is invalid.
Note: this error may be related to the Item Specifics content you entered. Please review content in 'other' fields in the Item Specifics section for validity and number of characters.

I had 24 that went fine tonight, but the remaining auctions just won't go. I checked Item Specifics and they are fine. Tried chatting with eBay, but well then you can guess how helpful they are.

Can someone please help???

I had the same problem. I have e-mailed Vendio and am waiting for a reply. I believe that eBay has changed the item specifics in the Clothing category.

Here is how I fixed mine. Go into your item specifics in the auction that is erroring. Uncheck the "Condition" box i.e. New with tags. Relaunch the auction.

After the auction successfully launches, I went into each auction and manually revised the Item Specifics on eBay. It is not convenient but it works. Something to think about until Vendio fixes the problem. Hope this helps!

Is this a Vendio issue or eBay issue?

The 24 auctions that did list had the exact item specifics as the 90 that errored out. Actually, these are items which I sell regularly and every single one of the auctions had just ended Monday night.

I would greatly appreciate Vendio checking into this and seeing if it is, indeed, their issue. And if it is, get it resolved.

Sorry you are having this problem also, sleepingdog. I pay Vendio and eBay a very nice sum every month; I expect a service that works. I do not expect to have to spend a few hours double-editing auctions in a work-around to one of their issues.

Hello,

The error you are receiving means eBay has either added item specifics to the category you are listing in, or they have changed the item specifics for the category you are listing in. They will typically go away after a day.

To resolve this error, please locate the Category section on the create listing page (underneath templates, above Features) and click on the Edit Category button. In some cases, after you do this, you will need to reselect your category starting with the Top Category -- but in most cases, hitting the Continue button will be sufficient. After selecting your category, you will be returned to the create listing page. Scroll down to the category selection area, where you should see some item specifics options. Fill them out, then Save your listing and proceed with launch.

If the above directions do not help, please try copying the pending item, then resetting the item specifics. If your item has a red "details" link instead of a "copy" link under the Action column, click the item title, then the blue Copy button at the top righthand side of the page. Note that after you do this, you will be editing the copy, not the original. This may resolve the problem, but note that if you are relisting, the copy will not be eligible for an insertion fee credit from eBay. It will be launched as a new listing.

Regards,

Sonya
