I include sometimes up to 25+ pics in each auction. I sell clothing. I have sometimes two or three pics per outfit. It varies between auctions. I would like to add my text next to my pics or at least close to each pic. so that the bidder can see the discription of the outfit near the pic without having to scroll back up or down to the pic. Without knowing how many exact number of pics I will have in each auction this is proving to be difficult for me to make a template of HTML code that I can use for each auction.

I have made a template but when I try to apply it to an auction I find I have to keep on going back to the discription and add line breaks and I have to keep on guessing how many I need.

To make a long question short, How can or can I add text beside or under a pic in vendio so that I don't have to keep on guessing how many line breaks that I would need to put in my HTML code per auction. I make alot of these auctions and guessing is very time consuming. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the only way to do this is to insert HTML that contains your image URL alongside with your descriptions. If you keep trying to match it up, you might get it to work on your browser specifications -- however since it will be resized if someone is viewing your listing on a minimized browser, it is not likely your descriptions will appear to match up with your images.

To obtain the code which contains your image URL(s), follow these steps:

1. Click the Image Hosting tab.
2. Check the box next to the image(s) that you wish to select.
3. On the bottom of the page, click the "Attach" button.
4. Choose "Other Auction Site (generate HTML)", select New Auction, and click "Continue"
5. On the next page, copy and paste the entire block of HTML (which includes your image URL) into the description box of the auction listing form.

Thank you Sonia for your information. I looked into what you said and I was able to copy the code as you instructed. I have a question about the URL images.

When the code came up it said on your site: " the code must be inserted as is- users by passing the code below risk image and account deletion without notification".

My question is that I need to insert my discription in between the pics. Example: a discription then three pics, a discription then two pics, and so on and so on. That is how I was doing it before I signed up with Vendio.

In order to have the discription near each pic to avoid connfusion and fustration for the buyer.

Because of what read and copied from you site I am wondering if I add html in between the code for the pics am I going to have problems with your company deleting my auction or account. Please advise if this is a problem or if that warning is there so that you dont delete the Vendio information so that people know that the images came from Vendio. Thanks for clearing this up for me as I don't want to infringe on Vendios policies.

Hello,

You wouldn't have any problems with this so you can go ahead and do it. If you want, go ahead and build your listing and then let us know either here or via email that you are finished -- we can check it for you and confirm that it is okay before you actually list.

Regards,

Sonya
