I have had 3 people in the last week tell me that they've left me their credit card information through the Vendio checkout but when I go in there there's nothing in the checkout. I give instructions to leave it in the message portion, but could it be somewhere else? This is the item number of the last person. 6307598336. Is there something I'm missing?

Have they confirmed that they are leaving it in the right spot? It's possible that they are leaving the information but putting it in the wrong spot. That would explain why you aren't seeing the information.

Do you have another item number for us to investigate?

Ok, I found another one and talked to the woman on the phone. The number is:
690593542

She said she put the credit card number and expiration date in the "choose payment method" box becuase it was a blank box. Does that help? That box is supposed to be a drop down box, correct?

Correct, so leaving the credit card number in that field isn't possible.

Is there are reason why he/she choose NOT to put it in the notes field? This is really the place it needs to be entered. It's not possible to add text into any field the customer chooses and have our system pick it up.

If they order something just from the store - and they don't follow the checkout link in an email (like an ebay purchase) what message from me do they see? She said she didn't know where to put the credit card information. Do they still see the welcome screen where I've put directions on leaving the information in the "message" part of the checkout?

Hello,

They should see that, there is actually no way to bypass as a sale can't be confirmed until they get to the end of checkout. The last item you referenced, it appears that the customer did not read what was on the directions for credit card, as it clearly states how to get you the card number.

Regards,

Sonya
