Hi everyone ... I'm considering adding an ebay store and am wondering if Vendio totally supports the creation of listings and tracking if sales.

Is there a benefit to having both ebay and vendio stores or does one have benefits (sales) that outweigh the other?

I've just added Vendio gallery to my listings.

Any comments, experiences would be much appreciated.

Thanks !

Susan

If you have more specific questions about the Vendio store, I can address those in another post. For general inquiries, you can get more information about the Vendio store here: http://www.vendio.com/my/shop/promo_st.html

Hopefully, some users will give you some input based on their experience as well. Good luck.
Best Regards,

Hi and Thanks ... but it's the eBay store compatibility with Vendio that I have questions about ... I already have a vendio store ...

But, specifically, with gallery in vendio that shows all the listings of auctions and EBAY STORE itemes ... it seems that it would be beneficial to have an ebay store as well ... or perhaps in place of ... the vendio store.

Does sales manager track the sales from an EBAY store the same way that it tracks an ebay auction?

No the Sales Manager program doesn't track the Ebay store items you have inventory. You can launch items to your ebay store from Sales Manager however.

Yes, with the Gallery, it's an added benefit to have the Ebay store.

I don't have a break down of the Ebay store benefits. Hopefully, some users will chime in here.

Also, I'd recommend that you visit the Ebay forum! You know they'll chime in!

Thank you, Darin ....

Let me make sure I understand what you are saying ...

Vendio does not track ebay store inventory ....

Does it track the sale in Post Sale and send the wbn and track the payment, etc?

If it doesn't, then I'm not sure of the best way to make sure that I capture the info.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Susan,

You can create eBay Store items in Sales Manager -- the process is the same as creating an auction, but when you are on the Create Listing page, you must choose 'eBay Store'. You can launch them from inventory as well. Post Sale for eBay Store items may be managed in Sales Manager. Additionally, in ebay Site Specifics, you can import the categories you have created for your eBay Store on eBay so that when you make an item for your eBay Store, you can also put it in that category.

I apologize for any confusion. Let me know if you have any more questions about this.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Susan..I run an eBay store through Vendio. The items created through Vendio are tracked in Sales Manager. The items imported (created through eBay or another co.) are not tracked as consistently.

I also have a Vendio store - mostly because it's free under my Vendio plan. I do not stock the Vendio store. The biggest benefit I have found with the Vendio store is that Froogle search engine picks up the listings whereas ebay stores are not picked up in the Froogle search. I know this because my Vendio store name is slightly different from my eBay store name (merchandise is the same).

Hello, I have an ebay store and have found it to be a really great advantage. I sell items that are made from stone so each one is individual. I will run the item through auctions for a couple of rounds then put it in my store. Almost all of my sales that involve more than one item at a time have one or two things that they buy from the ebay store. When it is costing anywhere between $1 & $3 to list an item it is by far cheaper to list it for 3 cents in my ebay store. Also, since ebay started allowing store searching, my sales have improved. Just my 2 cents, change please.

Hi

BUT be carefull with Vendio and eBay stores :

All my items are unique, and I also use my eBay Store for selling unsold auction items. Ii is just GREAT !!

--- BUT if you list a " Good until cancelled " eBay Store listing through Vendio, you will be charged 3 cents on eBay and 6 cents on Vendio, for EACH 30 Days !!

For me, it doesn't make sense Vendio charges 6 cents on the 2nd , 3rd and so on periods , because they DO NOT HAVE any extra work !! Even the eBay item # is the same.

----
So, the workaround for me is : When I do a relist auction , changing it to STORE item, I do it on eBay !!
----

And Vendio gets nothing ...

Jose- that depends on your Vendio plan. I use the Variable Power Plan - free Vendio store and all ebay listings (including store listings) are free - I pay 1% FVF on store sales (8 cents on an $8.00 item)..

Yes! ebay stores can defintely be worth it. Visit the eBay Store Sellers board for ideas on store design and effective linking to maximize your sales.

Good luck!
