I have always been able to upload images almost immediately. Now with the new way it is taking forever. What has happened?

Hello,
Try uploading one image at a time. If you continue to experience slowness, let us know so we can investigate this issue further.

Sonya

Hi Sonya, the user is correct. The new system of uploading images is slower than the old way. The old way I was able to upload 10 images in under 45 seconds. It now takes 1.5 minutes to 2 minutes to upload the same amount. One at a time is not a very convenient mthod of doing it. By the way in one of my other posts I told Vendio that if anyone dared to tell me to clear my cache I would take back my invitation inviting you to come visit us in France. Luckily no one did that, so the invitiation is still open. I love one of the new features I just found that I thought I would pass on to all Vendio users. I had to add an image to an existing auction. The old way was tedious and time consuming and required accuracy and a good knowledge of HTML as to where and how to place the new image in the text. With this new method it took me about 30 seconds to complete the whole thing. Thanks loads for that. Steve

Hi Steve,
How long does it take you to upload just one image? Please let me know, and send me that image at [email protected] so that I can test-upload it from here as well. We resolved slowness issues after the new site redesign so it is rather odd to have problems uploading now.
Regards,
Sonya

It was a little faster today, but still not like the old Vendio. I have RoadRunner by the way. I find other parts of the new Vendio slower too. Hopefully, y'all will get the kinks worked out this week.

Hi - I am still experiencing slowness. Just took about 15 min. to upload 1 pic size 19k.
I've got 11 more to go and need to start my auctions in 10 minutes. This is not working out with the new site.

If you are using Windows XP you can still use the XP bulk uploading system. It will load to the "unfiled" section of your Image Hosting, but you can move images easily once they are uploaded.

Another day that I can't upload pics.
I don't understand. How many years have I been using Vendio? It wasn't until you changed the site that I started having problems. I have to get stuff on this week and unless you can figure out what the problem is, I will have to change service. I hate that. Why did you have to change the old site when it was going so well??
Just checked the one test pic - after 17 minutes it still hasn't uploaded. Ugh!!

Loads faster for me and I am using Win XP. I load 10-20 images at a time as needed; not purposely spreading out the loading process. I have a DSL line..

Well - I think my problem was an old cable modem. RoadRunner brought out a new one this afternoon. He couldn't believe the one I was using - I couldn't believe they failed to inform me to have it switched out last year.
Just uploaded one pic in a blink of an eye. So I hope that was the problem.I guess this has been a blessing in disguise because it led to getting the new modem.
Thanks Vendio!
