Dear Vendio, since your new look, vendio is slower than ever.
EVERYTHING is taking longer.
The image quick search is not working at all tonight, I have to scroll down every one of my images to find the one I want to attach.
Why is your system so slow?, I have cable and this did not happen with the old Vendio.
Why didn't Vendio test this system before implementation?
Listing is slower, attaching images is slower, viewing is slower, etc, etc.
I cannot afford to have this happen, it is just taking too long to list.
Please don't tell me to clear my cache, done that, clear cookies, done that, cleared unnecessary applications, done that....

Hello,
We resolved slowness issues with the site redesign. We have tested the new image hosting prior to releasing it -- it is odd that you are experiencing slowness now. Have you tried other browsers? Please do so if you have not, so we can narrow the problem down.

Sonja, I'm afraid I have to disagree.
Vendio pages take much longer to 'turn'.
The quick find images take much, much longer.
Where you used to have one list of images, and you could access any image by just typing in part of the image name, you now have to choose from more than one page and typing in part of the image name just doesn't seem to work any more.
Why should I have to remember whether my image is one page 1,2 or 3?
It is taking me far longer to list an item and I am frustrated and disappointed in Vendio.
It is NOT my browser since I do not have any problems on any other site.
I feel that you have complicated a great usable, simple system, and I, for one, am not sure that I can continue to use Vendio in it's present format unless you can fix these issues.

This is an example of a particular issue on the quick find image function.
Presently I have 2 pages of images. When I type in the partial name of an image, if it is not on page 1 and I click on page 2, the image will not appear, and I have to scroll down the page 2 list and then click on the name.
This is very time consuming when compared to the old system, where the image came up immediately when typing even the partial name in the quick find field.
There was no page 1 or page 2, just the complete listing.
How can this be fixed???

Hi rubys100,
We had to make a design trade-off here. We paginated images at 1,000 per list to prevent the need to download very large selection lists during each Sales Manager pageload (some sellers with thousands of images would previously experience some slowness in downloading this image list with each listing creation or edit in Sales Manager).
To compensate the limits of quick find that works only on a single page of images, we added the "Search" tab to the image selector list. If you click on that tab, you can search across all pages in a method similar to how quick find works for a single page (btw, you can also search for any part of an image name, so it's a bit more robust than quick find as well).
Alternately, you can perhaps place your most recent images in a folder and choose that folder from the folder menu. Then quick find will be used on the most recent images (page 1). Many sellers use a date-based foldering scheme for this reason (among others), using year/quarter/month/week/day timeframes depending upon the expected volume of images.
I hope one of these options helps alleviate some of your concerns today, but we'll also continue to identify enhancements to image hosting as well going forward.
