I just got my first statement since the new Image billing program started.

On 9/30/04 I was charged $5.97 for "Image Hosting Plan: 55 MB (pro-rated 18 days)" Subscription.

On 10/18/04 I had a Image Hosting Credit of applied $5.97. I was then charged $9.95 for Image Hosting Plan: 55 MB, Subscription.

When I go to the "Image Hosting Plans" Web page I see the following statement "Note: If you also choose Sales Manager, Tickets Manager and/or Vendio Stores, you will receive a monthly credit toward your Image Hosting fee based upon the fees associated with your use of those services (including monthly subscription, listing, and final value fees)."

Does this mean that if I choose to change from my current"Pay as You Go Plan" to either "Variable Rate Premium Plan" or "Variable Rate Power Plan" that I wouldn't be charged the $9.95 Image Hosting subscription fee?

If I choose the "Variable Rate Power Plan" does that mean I'll not only get free image hosting but also a free store? O.K. not free but included in the $$29.95 monthly fee.

Also while I'm on the subject, If I elect to pick up the "Variable Rate Power Plan", reopen a Vendio Store and continue to use the "Vendio Gallery", will the gallery include any of my Vendio Store items? If not why not?

I had a vendio store but closed it because of low traffic. Is there a way to link a Vendio store to ebay auctions, so that a person viewing an ebay auction can click on a link that will take them to the Vendio store, like the links that take people to ebay stores?

Ditto - I don't think I have ever seen a more confusing plan?

Hello,

You basically pay the bigger of the two. So if you changed to one of the $12.95 plans then you wouldn't pay the $9.95 for image hosting -- it will instead get credited to you at the end of your billing cycle.

The Vendio Gallery does not include Vendio Store items. It may only contain eBay Auctions and eBay Store items. If you have a Vendio Store, the gallery will link to it, per eBay's 2-click rules about third party links.

If you weren't using Vendio Gallery, you can enable the promote option in the Vendio Stores section so that a link to the store will appear.

Regards,

Sonya

This is really confusing and unfair. I don't use any of your services except image hosting. I just changedto annual 250.00 fee. All I want is image hosting. Could you tell me if I am being charged the 250.00 plus mb usage. This is the craziest and confusing change I have ever seen. Please straighten me out. I only want to use Image hosting. No stores, auctions ect. Thanks Aundra.

gosh I thought I was the only person that doesnt understand the payment plan
I have a "pay as you go"plus on the online statement page it say I have 5.30MB and on another page(standard size images)it states 0.66MB,what is the differnce between the 2?how many MB counts as 1MB? I take it I am being charged 9.99 a month, plus 10 cents for image hostings is this correct, and when do I know that I havent gone over my payment plan of 9.99 to put me into the higher paying bracket?I dont wish to pay any more than I am already as I dont list very often.I have no idea what MB means, other than thats my first and last name, and I know its not that.please can you explain to us dummy's that used to be able to use your site and rarely have to contact you, what all this means in plain english, and now you are swamped with everyone's emails.

Hello,

Aundra -- someone from billing will be in touch with you.

Thedollladym - the online statement states the max usage for your plan. To see true usage go to Image Hosting. A megabyte is 1000kb. Total charges are shown on your online statement, if you have a question about something there, please notify us. Basicaly you pay the bigger of the two (Sales Manager and Image hosting). If your MB usage falls under a different plan than your current one, you can switch it over in My Account > My Service plans. Looking at your account your usage is 3.96 so you can change to the 5MB plan if you like -- this one is $4.95 instead of $9.95. Let me know if you need more help with this.

Sonya

I just got my bill, I was too busy to notice that I went over the 135mb and now I'm in the 500 bracket. Can I delete some pics and get a credit next month. I loved vendio whent the took off my images after 90 days freeing up my time doing it. This makes me work again but if I can save money I will delete sold item pics. Let me know about credit as my bill is about 35.00 more this month with no much more sales.

Hello,

You will need to delete images then empty the recycle bin before you change back to a lower image storage plan. Also, you can set your images to expire like before, so you don't have to worry about deleting them yourself. In My Account there is an Image Hosting Preferences section -- make sure you set your preferences for auto renew and your deletion date there.

Regarding billing and your request for credit, please go to Help > Contact Us and fill out the Customer Service form for billing issues.

Regards,

Sonya

Sonya, thank you for the help I will check it out. I think it will help others too. Why do I have to delete them from my recycle bin? Will let you know what happened, thanks again.

Sonya, I lowered my images , and sorry about asking you about the recycling bin, dah! I guess I got confused with my own bin on my computer. I email billing too. I have it under 135 now and will lower it more. Thank you

Charging us just for hosting images on this site so a totall rip off. That's why so many people have chosen to close their accounts because there are other sites where you can host your images.

What sux more is that images don't even stay for unlimited time? You have to renew them in 90 days. This totally sucks. But vendio, you have disappointed a lot of ur costumers. I hope you realize it.

lindsayisamazing,

If you read our announcement, we made this change precisely because of the new permanent storage feature. If you hadn't noticed, Image Hosting is completely revamped. One of the key new features is permanent image storage.

Look, most of the posts are about misunderstandings about how the new pricing works. The general prepay policy Vendio uses unfortunately makes everyone's first bill look larger. But I think after this first cycle of bills, people will see how everything works. Most users will not be paying extra for Image Hosting.

As for how our pricing compares to our key competitors, just take a look at our pricing comparison. Yes you can find cheaper alternatives but if you compare features for price, which is the true measure of value, you'll see we're still a great deal. Now if those cheaper services suit you then I can understand. But a rip off we are not.

Regards,

Chuck

Chuck and Sonja , I agree and will check out my next bill to make sure I'm deleting my images and keeping it under 135 which is about all I really need. Unfortunately that big first prepaid bill was a hum dinger for some of us. I did delete some images and got under the 135 and billing said that I can get credit somehow. Thanks again.

I recieved a email it said."Dear Vendio Member:

Recently you asked us to review a credit request for the following item:

USERNAME: raaphdscscom
REFUND REQUEST DATE: 10/22/2004
REF ID:
ITEM DESC: Image Hosting Plan: 500 MB
AMOUNT: $34.95

We have approved this request and the credit should post to your online statement in 3-5 days."
I wanted to get rid of the Sales manager annual listing. the 250.00 that I just accidently paid. I just want to image host no more. Please help me. This is crazy. Aundra. I have deleted images. But I don't want you guys to delete the images on my E-bay auctions. Thanks Aundra.

Aundra,

You should have received an email from us explaining the issue. You are signed up under the Annual plan, which you signed up for in June. Your Annual plan is good through June, 2005. Please check your email for a letter from us. We will not be handling billing issues on this message board, so please respond via email.

Thank you,

Diana

I don't want to discuss billing problems. The annual plan I signed up for was unlimited image hosting. Not 200.00 annual plus monthly minimums. What is the 200.00 annual for if not for unlimited image hosting. Is the 200.00 annualy added to the monthly minimum. I only want image hosting. Nothing else. This has not been explained to me. Please try and help me. I have been a long time good customer. Thanks Aundra.
