HELP! I just changed to this new Inventory Edition yesterday and I am having trouble Relisting Unsold items. These items were created with Sales Manager Merchant Edition and launched from there.

I keep getting this message:

The venue ebay has possibly returned the following message:
Launch operation failed because the inventory item was not found

If this message indicates you must "put a credit card on file", please click here to verify your ebay account is up to date.
If this message indicates "failed in payment methods", please click here and select at least one payment type
If this appears to be a problem related to ebay, please check here

I have created 4 new listings with this new edition and launched them successfully. I really like this new program and it looks like it will save me tons of time. But, like all new programs you may have a few bugs to work out.

Hello,

I looked into your account and found that you do actually have inventory items for CLINIQUE - Eye Shadow Duo - VINTAGE WINE and CLINIQUE - Eye Shadow - SUGAR SUGAR

Could you go into your Inventory and try to launch those by selecting them in Inventory? This will either avoid or narrow down what could be causing the error.

Also, if this works, you can create inventory items for the other two items and launch them as inventory.

The message says it is *possibly* and eBay error, but it seems unlikely. I'm not positive what exactly would cause that error, but the above is my best suggestion for working around it.

Yes Abe, I am able to launch them from inventory. I launched both the Vintage Wine and the Sugar Sugar. I have created at least 10 items in inventory today and they have all launched just fine. It's the relisting of unsold or closed items that will not launch.

I don't mind finding ways to "Work around" problems BUT, As you know with E-bay, if an item does not sell I can relist and if it sells the second time around they refund my listing fee of 35 cents. You times that by about 100 items and that saves me $35 in listing fees if they sell the second go around. I can not afford to launch NEW LISTINGS each time I need to relist. Besides that I have about 20 more items closing today and will need to relist the unsold ones. I do not want to lose my chance for the relist credit by launching NEW LISINGS for those items.

How long will it take you all to fix this?

Just so you know, that besides this problem I am really liking this new edition!

Hello,

Do you have an example you wouldn't mind us trying to launch? I would like to replicate this problem and file a bug if necessary.

Regards,

Sonya

Sonya,

You can try to launch E-bay #552990791 Timewise Day & Night Solution Set. I have tried that one several times. Feel free to try any of the others that closed over the weekend unsold.

I need a fix by tonight or I will have to switch back to the Merchant Edition or Relist through E-bay. I have 30 items now to relist and more by tonight.

Thanks for your help

Hello,

I apologize for the delay. We were able to check into your account with the example you provided. We did not find any errored items in the listing errors page, and the example that you provided is now deleted, was imported, and failed to relist.

The inventory item number for this listing was also deleted.

The reason that the relist failed, was because the inventory item had previously been deleted before doing the relist. It looks like after you imported the listing, you deleted the newly created SMIE inventory item. Had you been deleting any items out of your inventory recently? Perhaps you mistakenly deleted this one?

If you have other examples please feel free to give us the item numbers.

Regards,

Sonya

Sonya,
To be honest, I got tired of waiting for a response. As you know in sales, time is money. I know you all are busy and are really trying to work out the bugs in this new program.

The reason that those items I gave you to test looked deleted was that .ast night I switched back to the Merchants Edition and launched all my RELISTS. I had at that point over 50 to relist. I was able to successfully relist them with the Merchant Edition.

This morning I did the switch back to Inventory Edition and did all the imports of inventory and listings again for the 3rd time and I was finally able to launch 11 more RELISTS. So I'm not sure what was wrong because I had imported all options at least 3 times and I kept getting that error.

I will let you all know if it happens again. I hope you have someone else that has the problem so you can figure out what caused it. Thanks for your help, but I just didn't want to wait any longer.

Again, I really like this program and will continue to work through the bugs with you.
