Ok, just checking in to see if there's anyway to have my shipping costs inserted onto the auction page. I'm getting SO MANY idiot buyers who cannot read my short auction ad that states clearly the costs, but instead click on the shipping costs on the top of the page which then bypasses the auction details and goes to the bottom of the page where it says to check with the seller or listing. And, of course, actually reading the listing is too much work, so they keep emailing me. Getting pretty sick and tired of it - can you tell? I'm sure it involves turning off the Vendio check-out or turning on an eBay one, but I thought I'd check and see if anything has changed.

Hello,

If you go to My Account > Global Preferences and scroll to the bottom, you can select this option:

"Display Shipping and Handling options and Custom Shipping Note in listing."

This will insert shipping and handling into your listings so customers will be aware. Please keep in mind this will apply to new listings only.

Regards,

Sonya

Sonja:

Will this change anything else in the listing? And do I have to insert the costs in anywhere other than the boxes I normaly use?

Thanks!

Hi Sonya,

I don't use Vendio Post Sale features - no WBN's, no Vendio Checkout, etc.

If I do what you just suggested, will the multiple shipping options show up in my auctions?

Lucy

Hello,

Toyspast -- if you enable this option it won't mess anything up for you since you already use Vendio Checkout. It will just display your options inside your listing, in its own little section. If you enable it, you can do an eBay Preview on any item in Pending and see what it will look like.

OhMsLucy -- you can select shipping options without enabling checkout or the WBN so you will still be able to use this option.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya,

Many, many thanks!

Although not a complete solution to my problem, it will help.

I would still like to be able to do what I was trying to when I started the thread below.

(Have the multiple shipping options show in the non-description areas of the auction.)

Ok, I turned what you said on, and all it does is add the shipping costs at the very bottom of the Vendio template. I am talking about the area where the buyers are actually looking, and that's when they click on the "shipping, payment and return policy" tab at the top, which takes them to the very bottom. That's the problem I am having. I am constantly being asked what my shipping costs are even though I put them in the description. If they're not reading the description, then they're certainly not going to scroll down the page and find that little spot near the end. I want to know how to get the shipping costs in the eBay portion of the page. And if there is no way to do that, then are you guys working on a way to do it?

Hi,

I'm with Toys. Same problem - buyers writing for S/H when it's already right there in front of their face.

Although your suggestion does save some typing, I still want more options in the I Am Specifying eBay Payment Details section.

I want the shipping costs and methods I enter in Vendio to show in "Shipping Costs" at the top of the auction and in "Shipping, payment details and return policy" at the bottom.

Can't you just put the same options in that area as the ones for the description section? The ones with pop-downs for selecting the shipping method?

I'm getting very, very tired of having to manually revise every single auction after it's on eBay.

Thanks,

Lucy

Hello toyspast,

The only way to place the shipping costs into the eBay specific checkout areas are to enter your shipping amounts into the field marked 'I am specifying shipping and payment details' when listing your items.

This is where eBay pulls from to fill the fields at the very top of the ad before you view the item or description.

Hi Christopher,

Yes, I know about the field marked 'I am specifying shipping and payment details' and I do use it.

BUT BUT BUT there's no place to specify the shipping method!

AND AND AND there's only ONE amount field provided!

Please, please, please try to understand what I'm asking for. I think that's what Toy wants too.

Thanks,

Lucy

Hello Lucy,

We do understand what you are requesting, support for the eBay specific shipping carriers.

toyspast - I am talking about the area where the buyers are actually looking, and that's when they click on the "shipping, payment and return policy" tab at the top, which takes them to the very bottom. That's the problem I am having.

See my post above, this will address where you want to enter your amounts to get them to appear in the fields you mention.

Christopher

Hi Christopher,

Good!

When will it be available with specific carriers and more than one field available?

Lucy
