I have begun listing SKUs with each new inventory listing. With multiple items, and multiples of the same item, plus listing on ebay, Yahoo, and Vendio store; SKUs seemed ideal to keep track of sales, etc. Further, the SKU gives me the exact location of the item in my binders, i.e., which category, binder and storage page.

The problem, is that when there is a sale, the SKU does not appear anywhere. The easy location of the item is defeated, unless, I return to inventory and look up the SKU of the item.

I want to suggest that there be a method to easily determine that item's SKU without having to take the extra step of going to inventory. Perhaps on the post sale summary for the item, or in the WBN.

The easiest method appears to be in the WBN. Can you suggest that this be done. If the SKU can be placed in the WBN, will you assist in setting it up?
Thanks,
Bill K-

HI Bill,

Vendio Post Sale "find" field now includes a find option for SKU. If you are now listing items that have SKUs, you should try to search for the item in post sale with that option.

If you continue to have trouble with this, please let me know what the item number is and what the sku is so we can investigate.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya,

Thanks for the speedy reply. The search function for SKU works if you know the SKU#. However, if I search for the item name associated with the SKU, the SKU does not come up.

For example when I enter the SKU of 01-001-00147, in the search field, Catfish Pictorial Postmark comes up, However, when I enter Catfish Pictorial Postmark in the SKU search, I lose.

Which is my problem. I know the item name, but not the item's SKU. When I sell the item, knowing the SKU, would enable me to locate the item, without having to look through 7 or 8 books with 50 pages in them. Or, having to go to inventory to search for the SKU. I am wondering if the SKU could be a field in summary, or a field in the WBN notice to buyer.
Thanks,
Bill K-

Hello,

You can't search for item title in the SKU search field, you will have to use the auction title field.

I will forward your suggestions to product development -- I can see how if you are selling multiples, this can be somewhat cumbersome.

Regards,

Sonya
