Hello everyone,

We are aware of the problem with image hosting, and our engineering team is looking into it now. I do not have an ETA at this moment, but we will post updates as we get them. Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Best regards,

Diana

Diana,

Not to be blunt... but I'm not sure an apology is enough right now. You'd better get your bosses to start authorizing some financial compensation. I figure I probably lose at least $10-20 in bids for every hour that images don't appear. Probably more during a prime time like this. We deserve better than this.

Diana,

We were assured by Ed over a half an hour ago that his would be fixed "Immediately" What gives? Now you don't have an ETA? Did you have a server meltdown? Did you outsource the process? What is up We want answers? Tell us what the problem is, how you are going to fix it and when and how you are going to re-imburse us!

We will NOT stand for this!

Also why did you remove the last thread?

Advise please.

You apologize??? Are you going to pay my house payment? I think we all deserve a refund and a BIG one for those of us that have a weeks worth of auctions ending NOW! I, for one, will be financially devastated by Vendio's mistake. Sorry, but your apology is not enough to pay my mortgage or feed my kids this week. Vendio needs to make this right to the people that have supported them since their services were FREE! (that's a long, long, long time ago)

A thread was removed? Hmmm. This is the first time I've been here, but I NEED to work and it would certainly be swell if my customers could see my pictures.

Why did you feel the need to delete the thread discussing this outage?

Are you too embarrassed to let other customers know about how others feel about your service?

Are you trying to disguise that image hosting has been down since 1:50 PM Pacific time (it is now 3:00 PM)?

There was no need to delete that thread and this is no time to run and hide.

I have about 20 auctions ready to launch for tomorrow. Now, all the attached images are gone. I didn't know what to do so I authorized the $5.95 to get a call. That service isn't available until Tues. I would like to cancel that $5.95 contact service. How do I do that? Also, do I just leave my auctions alone that I want launched tomorrow? I may need to reschedule them if the images aren't restored by then. Please advise. thanks

Hello all,

We have all hands on deck to restore images as quickly as possible. We expect images to be restored within approximately 30 minutes (between 3:00 and 3:30 pm PST).

Again, we realize you rely on image hosting to sell your items, and this is a top-priority issue that we are working on now. Thank you for your patience.

Best regards,

Diana

What the heck is up with Vendio? Totally unacceptable! I have been with Vendio since they were a free service - years ago. Never have I seen a problem so bad as this one.

But to not even properly address this issue is simply a slap in the face to all your customers! Where is the damage control on this???

Time to look elsewhere for auction management service. Lots of other choices out there.

PS. We are not 'hiding' anything - the previous thread had grown to 2 pages which means that anyone clicking in will not see our updates.

We understand that you are upset. We are aware of the issue and we're working to correct it as quickly as we can. Posting more responses here is not going to help people looking for information to find it.

Thanks,

Diana

Thanks for clarifying - I thought I was losing my mind when I came back to check the status of Ed's "we have our IT people on it & Vendio will have it fixed immediately" post...found my previous question & all the other messages gone.

This is a high volume day for eBay auctions; a high volume weekend due to the holiday; the eBay vintage group is having a big featured sale; and no doubt you are aware from others' posts, this can result in a big financial hit for many sellers who've stuck with Vendio despite the addt'l costs of doing so.

Dianna,

Perhaps you should post an issue on your main site.

You deleted the last thread. Which also means you deleted Ed's post stating that image hosting would be restored "immediately". I have screen captures of that.

We do expect financial compensation for this.

We have no issue with you personally, but you need to take responsibility for your company's issue and lack of action with this.

Please advise

Diana, please be for real. The threads are being "locked" so others can't see them. Lying will get you no respect whatsoever. Why are you locking the threads? Why are you making people afraid to post? We pay for service and should receive the service in totality. Not a censored Vendio version!

If there are too many comments...WELL, maybe you should post it on the main pages! That way people won't be looking here. Hmmmm, I wonder why they didn't do that hours ago?

Typical response from someone in a cushy managerial position. Are you personally going to reimburse me the $1000 I will lose tonight because of your outage?? Because I will relax once you comfort me.

Hi there,

An announcement is posted on our announcements board. The 3:30 timeframe has been extended, as we have run into some issues. I do not know how much longer it will be, but we are actively working on it now.

Once again, we apologize for this. We are on top of it, but we just don't have an ETA right now.

Thank you for your patience.

Best regards,

Diana

Ok, this is really bad. I'm seriously giving stuff away. I just checked and had to cry a bit. I will go without eating, but my children can't! I want a refund. I will not be able to pay your bill anyway since you messed up and made my sales tank. Thanks a bunch Vendio. I hope you have enjoyed my many thousands of dollars I have given you because I will not be giving it to you anymore.

I was wondering why I was not getting bids today. Now I know. I do believe compensation is in order. Not sure how you would do that, but I will certainly lose money tonight. I too have been with vendio since they were a free image hoster, and in the past, there has never, ever been any reimbursement to my knowledge. What can we expect in lieu of this current problem.

Diana,

Please, do not patronize us. We would like an answer. What is the issue (ie; sever meltdown, you outsourced IT to the India, you didn't pay your electric bill..whatever..) We would like an honest explination...nott just as you put it "The 3:30 timeframe has been extended, as we have run into some issues" and the old please be patient line.

That just does not cut it. If I were to tell my customers to "just be patient, because I have an issue I am working on", what do you think they would tell me?

I have been a faithful member of Vendio before it was Vendio. Your company has treated me well in the past. I would appreciate the same now.

We all want answers. Have a Tech post for us. Tell us what is wrong and when it will be fixed and how Vendio will compensate us for the auctions that are listing (are they listing?) without photos and the auctions that are ending (and starting...see ebays feature that lets folks watch new items they are looking for be notified about) with minimal bids and NO PHOTOS!

At the very least, we deserve compensation and an explanation

Please advise.

Danstang

Unfortunately what I pay Vendio in a month doesn't come close to the loss of sales I'm going to have from this one single outage.

But, at the very least... I think that Vendio should give us credit for this months bill. It won't come close to making up for our lost sales... but we shouldn't have to pay for a service that goes down at such a crucial period for such an extended period of time.

I never complained when the services were free... but now that we're paying for it, we deserve MUCH better!!!
