I had a problem and emailed Vendio about it and got nothing but the normal canned response. The problem is I cancled/ended a bunch of store listing's the other day. I wanted to make drastic changes to them and figured it would be easier to just cancel them and recreate them and launch them with all the changes I wanted. Well I got my monthly bill the other day and Vendio charged me a FVF for every listing I closed. These idiots think they are sold store inventory. So you may want to check your bill closely to check and see if they scammed you as well if you ended any listing's you had on ebay.

What makes it so hard to believe is that if they had even taken the time to check my closed listing's in vendio they would see they are not sold items and were just cancled. I guess they are hard up for money.

Wow that is interesting. I have never checked my bill. Just paid it and went on, after a deep sigh. Thanks for the heads up!

I normally don't check mine in detail either. I just happened to cancel the store listing's on the last day of my billing cycle and it stuck out like a sore thumb. Every store listing I cancled I got charged a FVF from vendio. I guess I will have to make detailed checks of my bill from now on.

I better check mine to, but it sounds pretty easy to get corrected.

what is the canned response you got, does it deal with the issue of your unsold items being charged final value fees, and that for some reason there is a situation where that would happen?

scary.

Here is my original question I emailed them.

Hello,

I have a lot of FVF charges on my current bill that should not be there.
Your reference numbers for the specefic charges are:
1326519855
1326519857
1326519858
1326519859
1326519860
1326519861
1326519862
1326519863

None of these were sold items. They are store items that I ended the
listing's for so I could start from scratch and make new listing's for.
Please check each and you will see I did not sell these items, they were
cancled listing's in my ebay store. Please remove FVF charge for each
of the above.

Why are you even charging me for ending a listing?? I have never really
taken note of my vendio bill to closely before and am starting to wonder
if you have falsely charged me for ending listing's before.

This is the canned response I got back.

Hello there,

In the event of a non-paying bidder, you may request a refund of the
final value
fee (please be aware that the listing fee is not refundable.) In order
to qualify for the refund, you will need to provide proof from the
auction site that you had a non-paying bidder to get a refund to your
account.

As proof, we will accept a copy and paste of the line item from your
eBay statement, showing the refund from eBay. You may copy and paste it
directly into the text field in the refund request form, available at:

https://secure.vendio.com/my/acct/request_refund.html

Please note that you must be logged in to access this form.

Thank you,

Ed

What's up with the answer about non paying bidders??? THERE WERE NO BIDDERS OR BUYERS!!!! Did you ever get the feeling that they just plain didn't read the original question in the first place, that's sure what it looks like.

Mike - I closed 95 store items this weekend, so that I could redo my descriptions to reflect my new policies. None were charged FVFs. I also closed 65 items last weekend for a redo of descriptions. No FVF charges for those. Apparently, there was a mistake. Good that you caught the charges. You should send an email to customer service expressing your concerns.

I personally doubt that Vendio is purposely charging unwarranted fees.

Hey there,

Thanks for the name calling Mike-I love to be called an idiot.

It looks like I saw the FVF portion of your email and anticipated that was your issue. Since I am not a billing representative, I have no insight as to why you would be charged these fees if your items were ended early. This is clearly NOT Vendio policy. I will forward your request to [email protected] and they can research this issue for you further and provide you any compensation.

Ed

I am constantly ending to revise store items and not once was I charged a FVF. I always check my bill's when it is feasible. Mistakes do happen. I even scan my eBay invoice each month and I have caught mistakes on there through the years but it gets cleared up. There is NO scam going on. Like I said mistakes do happen but are easily redeemable.

Hello Ed,

To start with I was out of line with the comment. I appologize. I just get the feeling that no one reads questions that are sent in sometimes. The response I received clearly had nothing to do with my problem.

Secondly, if your not in billing why did you reply to the question that I sent to "Billing"? I did not email it as a tech question. I sellected billing as the subject option when I went through your email system.

Third, do I have to file a seperate case for each charge? Don't you have a form where I can fill in all of them, the link you provided is for a single case. Or do I have to complete the entire process for each individual charge?

Hi there,

Some billing emails are routed into the Customer Service mailbox and as in this case, I jumped the gun on the issue.

Unfortunately, as the link provides, this is just for a single transaction for each individual case. Since your particular issue is uncommon, please be patient while our billing team researches your issue.
